I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself, My name is Tom and I am the owner of Bravo Auto Bra in MN. I do work in the Twin Cities for 32 dealers.

I was looking through your forums as I have done a lot of Prius cars lately. A lot more buyers are showing up due to the gas prices. I noticed there seemed to be a lot of questions regarding the clear bra's and I just wanted to jump in and offer help if anyone has any questions.

    Tom, welcome to PriusChat.

It is always good to have folks who have special expertise in the areas that
    interest us most.

As to clear bras, there seem to be a number of manufacturers, vastly differing
prices, and perhaps differing film thickness.

Is there a correlation between cost, and film thickness?

Can you provide a table showing manufacturers, cost and thickness?
(Maybe the cost should just be materials as installation cost can vary greatly.)

Would you care to make a recommendation as to which you'd install on your
    car?

    Thanks

I, and friends, have had bras, and all of them wound up trapping grit between the bra and the car, and when the bra moved a bit, caused the grit to put scratches in the finish. The clear kind of protector that actually stick on the car may not do that, but the edge area tends to accummulate dirt, but that dirt does not get rubbed into the finish.

The solution to dirt accumulation and build-up is to use a spray wax.
