Congratulations! I feel like those of us who waited more than 6 months have really "shown our commitment" to the Prius. (Though I'm glad to see the wait is getting considerably shorter for people ordering recently.)

    January 17th 2005 update:
Well, the day is almost here, the car was unloaded this afternoon and is being prepared tonight and tomorrow morning. I am scheduled to go and pick it up tomorrow, 1-18-2005, afternoon, around 4pm. Almost 11 months waiting for what originally was to be a 7 month wait. Spending tonight getting all my papers togeather and ready to go. I have printed out everything I think I need from these forum, all the check sheets and user guides and have been doing lots of reading so I think I am ready. :D

Congratulations! And I'm sorry that I probably cost you a month by changing my mind and taking a silver 6 in December from our dealer, instead of a 4. At least you missed driving your Prius during this past week of icy temps here in MN...I only got 31 mpg on my last tank! The heater's been adequate, but a little slow and weak.

    Last update :D
Well its finally mine, just got home from the dealership after picking up my 2005 Prius. Everything went pretty good, the only surprise was that "ALL chicagoland dealerships get floor and cargo mats included as a standard accesory". Not really a problem, but I wish I had known ahead of time that I would be paying an additional $186 dollars for them, they do look nice so I didn't object to much to that one add on. I must say that the ride home was a little overwhelming with the navigation thing so I just shut that display off and enjoyed the quiet smooth ride listening to the radio. Thanks to all for their support through the almost 11 month wait I had, just glad its over now and looking forward to learning first hand about all the features of this car, so far so good though ;)
