The car and phone recognize each other but when I try to transfer the phonebook it fails. The car prompts me to send the info from the phone but there is no specific command I can find. The data transfer appears to start but never finishes. Help anyone?

I have this phone, but my girlfriend has both it and the Prius right now..In anycase you can only send one contact at a time. I did this a while ago and forgot the details, but try this:

Try sending a "business card" from the phone. It should then ask how you want to send it, IR etc.. select bluetooth. Let me know if that works..if no one else here can help, I'll take a look at my phone and car tomorrow and give you more precise instructions.

Sorry to be lame but I went through the phone and couldn't figure out how to send a business card....please treat me like a child if you would and take me through it. I'd really appreciate it.

    No problem!

1: Go to your list of names
2: Select the name you want to transfer, press 'Details'
    3: Press 'options'
4: Scroll and then select 'Send bus. card'
5: Scroll and then select 'Via Bluetooth'

That should do it. That is from the phone side only, from your post above it seems like you have the Prius set up correctly. Hope that helps.

I just got a chance to try it and unfortunately it didn't work. I sent the first business card...it took the info and then the phone and car couldn't recognize each other again. Any thoughts?

Hmm, I'll have to take a look at the phone and car together tomorrow. I haven't synced the phone and car in about a year now so I'm a bit rusty...It just auto connects now. Is the info you sent still in the Prius system? Did you go through all the steps in the instructions manual? I seem to remeber that when sending the "cards" over the phone would lose its connection. I turned the bluetooth off and then on(from the phone) again to re-establish the connection. It was pain, but it did work. Are the phone and car seeing each other when you turn on the car?

When i get into the car the car sees the phone...now if I try to send a bus. card...it screws up the connection and I can't get it back.

thanks for your time....if I have to get a new phone do you have a recommendation....?
