I was thinking that end of February / early March is a good timeframe. I'm hesitant to try one every month and think that two months is a good spacing.

    Where is Webber Grill?
    And let's pick a date

    Sat - Sun:
    02/19 - 02/20
    02/26 - 02/27
    03/05 - 03/06
    03/12 - 03/13

I'm currently open to any date. I know that usually sounds like a non-commitment, but that's not how I mean it. What I mean is: "whatever date we pick, I will be there." Personally, though. The later it is, hopefully the warmer it will be.

I'm open to any of the days. There is a Weber grill downtown, in Lombard, and in Buffalo Grove.

Chime in people, let's get more Priuseses there!

I'm close to the Lombard one.

Where would be a good place to get our cars all washed (weather permitting)? I'm partial to the Mobil drive through no touch style. But there is a Delta Sonic near Lombard on Ogden (you stay in the car and get hand dried at the end) which has some cloth strips washing the car, so you would probably take your antenna off.

I've never been there, but everyone that I know that went there said it was fantastic. Oh well, I'll come to the next one.

Sorry, SZG. I'm going to throw out Sunday, March 13th mostly because I am certainly not a treskiadecaphobic. And I'm going to pick 1:00pm because it just feels right. Now watch it be rainy, cold, and generally crappy.

Anyway, I've located the Weber Grill in Lombard. To see the MapQuest location, click [HERE]

I personally think it would be a great idea if we were to find a carwash and we can get our cars all cleaned. I'm actually picturing one of those with the manual sprayer and all the stalls. I think it would be great to have four or five stalls all with Prii getting washed side-by-side. What a picture!

Those are my thoughts anyway. Oh, and Jim, if you are from the area, it's up to you now to find at least one good location for photos. Go scout us some locations. They don't have to be nature preserves. Shoot, it'll be a Sunday and the car dealers will all be closed; I bet we could get some good pictures in the Hummer dealer lot. 8)

Here's a location idea: the photos I have in the Public area of the Album on PriusChat include some shots of my car next to a (mostly) covered wagon. Search for the title "Prius wagon."

This location is on the south side of Ogden just east of I-355. Not so great for groups of cars because it is on grass, and reached by a gravel road.

But on the north side of Ogden is the Tollway headquarters building, which photographs well. Right near that is a very high straight bridge where Warrenville Road goes (east-west) high above the interchange of I-355 and I-88. And just north of all that is the Morton Arboretum with many possible nature scenes no matter what the weather.

The nearest Toyota dealer is under construction and I only know someone in maintenance there. Anyone for an undercarriage shot?

Yeah, Sunday, March 13th 1:00pm at the Weber Grill in Lombard. I thought I had added it to the calander but must not have.

For the future, what I'm going to do is make a spreadsheet to share with everyone. I'll ask that everyone send conflicts to me and I'll update a speadsheet that that'll be viewable to everyone. That way, we will all be able to see which days are best for everyone and pick the one promising the highest turn-out.

    Excellent, Madams.

Yeah, I never worry where things are anymore. I just ask for the address written down; punch it in and go!

    Questions:

Do we need reservations for the Weber Grill? and How 'dressy' is this place?

I'm guessing that it's not overly dressy. I'm sure a pair of nice jeans and a decent shirt would be fine. Besides, I'm sure they wouldn't throw out a group of people who want to come in and eat.

Oh yeah, it occured to me that the actual address of this place isn't in this thread:
    2331 Fountain Square Drive
    Lombard, IL 60148-5677

Scroll up and you'll find a thread in which I linked to a MapQuest map.

Um, thanks for helping that "I would buy again" score go so high at Consumer Reports.

How many Prius are expected on Sunday? I was hoping to see at least 10 to 15. Oh, by the way you'll all know when we arrive just look for the plates that read "PREE US 1" and "PREE US 2" I got tired of people butchering the name saying PRY US!

Oh yeah, my wife and I absolutely love our cars!

Has anyone tried punching in the Weber Grill address in the nav system?
Mine says the street does not exist in Lombard; have to use the old-fashioned MapQuest to find it :(
