After my last snowy, rainy, muddy trip to the sierras trout fishing I decided to buy some better floor protection. It took hours cleaning the mud off the floor.

I looked around and decided to buy the WT floor liners. I bought the black color as they seemed the least likely to show dirt and shoe scuffs. The liners arrived 2 days ago and I installed them after work. The fit of the floor liners is great. The plastic is hard with a bit of flexibility. I would assume the harder plastic will be less susceptible to wear through and puncture by small stones in your shoes.

The next day I was pulling out of my garage and I noticed a lot of water sloshing around in the passenger side foot well. A one gallon water bottle I keep in the car for refilling my small drinking bottle had fallen over. The lid was loose I guess and half a gallon of water had leaked onto the WT floor liner. It contained the entire spill and even handled my driving around without it sloshing over the edges. I was pretty happy I had the liners installed. Smelling wet moldy carpet for weeks to come is not a pleasant thought.

So my final rating for the liners is Great. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Thankfully it was the passenger side as I have no clue why they did the drivers side with the two hook holes in it. FYI another thread has said it clearly that the tan liners are actually a very dark tan or more chocolate. Nothing like the pictures on the web site. I am very happy with the grey liners in my Bisque interior.

    Awesome. Phew, huh?
Exactly why I bought mine(the lip)! Unfortunately AFTER a full, over sized mug of coffee tipped over on the front passenger floor (i set it down there for a second and forgot it till my 1st turn. Doah!).
But I'm ready for the next time. :D

When my dealer called and said my new car would be coming in 2 weeks, I went to the Priuschat shop and ordered the Weathertech liners. They arrived a couple days before I picked up the car. So I brought them along when I picked up my car yesterday and put them in. It was raining, so it was real nice to have them to protect the floors from wet dirty shoes!!

They fit really well. I'm very pleased with them. :thumb:
I got the gray ones for my gray interior. I'm still waiting for the rear cargo area liner to come though.

    They fit really nice.
I got the front, rear, and cargo - black.

    QUESTION:
Do you guys put any floor mats down on top of your liners? I do on the front and rear. I might remove them though as they slide a bunch.

I bought and installed the black WeatherTech cargo liner.
Wonderful fit, nice shiny WT logo.
My wife said it looked too good to mess up, could we put a rug or mat over it?
Slightly shocked, I suggested a nice looking mat that will protect the cargo liner, and if that looks too good, well.. another mat to protect that too.
Hopefully the zaniness of that idea should sink into her.

That's funny. Yeah, I'm using floor mats over my Weathertechs too, but the tend to slide around.

I'd like something that cover all floor carpeting, not just where the feet rest.

I use ugly rugs in my cars. Those multi-colored rugs for $2 at wal-mart. Have for years. They absorb a lot of junk, and don't look any worse than they do by design.

But, I'd like wall-to-wall coverage with a form-fitted thing. whatever that would be. But, rubber/plastic, etc. just allow water and slush to slosh around, not trap, absorb, etc. as much as I would like.

For my kids, my concern is also now that they have the ability to put their feet/shoes on the backs of the seats. My previous three (and still current OTHER two) cars were/are minivans and they had gobs of leg room compared to the tiny back seat in the Prius. So, I need to protect the backs of the seats, too.

Top top it off, my daughter in her car seat, her tiny legs make it oh, so convenient to place her shoes on the seat edge, where the front lip of the carseat (child/booster) does not cover the entire top of the CAR'S SEAT top. So, I need protection for the seats top surface, too.

I should just plastic-wrap the whole entire insides like my grandfather had done to his cars. :)

    Or wrap my kids.

Put down Weathertech liners to trap spils(lip holds them in), floor mats(or ugly rugs) on top of the liners for absorption, seat covers for the dirty shoes up high, and YES, also plastic wrap the interior once a week! :p

This sounds like an episode of "Everybody loves Raymond" Where Marie took the plastic cover off the couch and everybody was afraid to sit down.

Seriously, while I like to protect the interior, at the same time I want to be able to see and use it. If I am buying a used car, 5 or more years old, I expect to see a few "scuffs" hear and there. My enjoyment of the car has to be worth something.
