    PriusNJ,

The info I gave you about the southeast region probably came from read'g on PriusOnLine since I've been over there for a few years now. Since I signed up into PriusChat, I've been doing an awful lot of read'g here now since PriusOnLine has been pretty dormant for a while.

Somebody posted a map of the 12 Toyota regions on one of these 2 sites recently, so if you're lucky enough to find it by a search, you can see which states are in the southeast region (or any other region). And I think it was C. Rickey Hirose over at PriusOnLine (I don't think he posts here at all, but I'm not sure) who gave some of the history of that family's ownership of the southeast region & how it came to be surrendered by Toyota many years ago to be run independantly of the other 11 Toyota regions.

Over the years many owners have told their tales of woe about being forced to take high-cost add-ons (NOT option pkg's) that are of little value but are added immediately upon off-load'g from the truck so as to claim "that's the way we got, so/and we can't take any of it off". They also cry about the expensive after-market (3rd party) extended warranty (that usually isn't any good in any other part of the country if you have a breakdown while on a road trip out of the area) being the only one offered & that the dealers WON'T offer the official Toyota Financial Services extended warranty. You CAN get it here at PriusChat or from Troy in Greenfield (Mass) Toyota by phone or mail for a great price (under $1,000).

Let us know how things work out with your NJ dealer as soon as you hear anything. Here's to a speedy purchase & delivery of your baby. Good luck!!

Just picked up my black Prius with package 5 today. So far I love it. Just had a quick question. I had sirius with my old Jeep, connected directly to the antenna. I would love to be able to have sirius in my prius and be able to control it with the MFD and the steering wheel. Is it really worth the 600 bucks the dealer quoted me to have it installed. Is there any place that does it for cheaper. I would appreciate any input you can provide. Thanks

Search "prius sirius" on eBay for some cheaper solutions. I don't know anything about the products I see there...
