I am almost 6'8" and I am happy with the way I fit in my Prius. In fact, the adequate fit was a selling point for me -- it's actually much better than my previous car, a Subaru Forester. I am all arms and legs (38" inseam), but my torso length isn't much more than average, and I am quite slender, which helps. Reclining the seat a bit not only helps stretch the arms, but also seems to improve the leg room somewhat. I've driven small, fuel efficient 4 bangers all my life, and in comparison, the Prius is the best of the lot for fit. 5 hour road trips, not a problem.

I'm always amused when I read posts on this forum that say, "I'm 6'2"', and the Prius just isn't big enough" -- perhaps for them it's a torso/head room issue.

At 6' 7" I would guess he would have problems in a LOT of cars, not just the Prius.

Many year ago while Magic Johnson was still a student at Michigan State in East Lansing, MI, he was driving a sub-compact car. (I forget what kind) What was funny was that he had removed the front seat. He drove by sitting in the back seat. It sure was strange to see the car driving around with only one person sitting in the back seat.

OK, he doesn't fit, fine. But whats wrong with his 8 year Explorer then? Why spend our money on a new SUV.

    Hi All,

Yea, its the torso. I showed a 6'3" guy my Prius, and there was no way it was going work for him. His eye level was above the top of the windshield. He was driving a VW Golf R32. The difference was the seat thickness. The Prius has that very thick seat bottom. One would have to pull the seat and get a VW seat customized into the Prius. This guy had average length legs, but was long in the torso and head.

For the Chelsea person there is always the Ford Escape Hybrid. There may still be a tax credit on the Fords too.
