I just talked to a vendor that has made many custom carbon fiber parts. He has been a reputable and praised supplier to the Toyota MR2 community for a long time. If we can get a sufficient demand (at least 20 pre-orders up front for a part), he will be able to produce anything that we desire in carbon fiber. Does this sound interesting to anyone?

Some ideas to ponder... carbon fiber hood, touring spoiler, passenger side mirror delete, styling package version a., fenders, door, hatch etc...

Our aluminum hood is lighter and better fitting than a cheap CF hood. The really good stuff, that is cured and laid up properly would cost more than a used 2 yr old Prius. Doesn't sound too interesting to me. That's what Scions are for. Prius isn't supposed to look like a Hopped up Honda. I think you will find that most owners on this site are interested in comfort and fuel mileage.

    Sorry, none of the above.

There's a project for rear wheel aero skirts...if they could price CF competatively I might be interested in that.....can't really think of much else of interest to me though.

I guess I am on the wrong forum. Ecomodder.com was probably the place to go. I will ask about maybe importing a set of Moon Craft skirts and producing them in carbon fiber.

A CF rear spoiler would probably look quite neat (not that I'd get one since CF stuff's usually out of my price range).

I have been a member of MR2OC.com for since early 2000. Heh, I got my Border hood and trunk lid from MadPSI years ago for my 91t. I actually still have them too. Too bad it cost too much to even drive my MR2 now. I think a CF touring wing would be cool.

I too have been a long time member of MR2OC (well before it was OC). My screen name is actually "MR2" believe it or not.

I think producing a carbon fiber touring wing would be a great start. Can anyone confirm if the Auto Labo carbon fiber wing is the touring wing?

Oh, I think you are talking about the yurastyle moon skirts instead of the bottom ones because the website domain is mooncraft on the yurastyle thread.

I don't think the yurastyle ones are being sold... so they may not be importable... but I may be wrong.

I think that our interest will significantly decrease in the rear wheel skirts if they look like the bottom picture (which looks like they were hastily attached as if they were a last-minute thought).

I am wanting an OEM fit and finish to the wheel skirt, as well as a piece that will shave the passenger mirror.

I can get anything imported from Japan so if we must, importing the Yura Style wheel skirt shouldn't be a problem.

    I wouldn't mind a CF Touring spoiler.

I would be interested in side mirrors deletion...it probably cuts a tinnie bit on drag.
