The Prius isn't great for very tall drivers. You practically touch the ceiling if you are above 6'3".
Also, it isn't a great time to buy one. Dealers are overpricing them, and there's a long wait. Better to wait until gas comes down in price (good chance), and then the Prius will come back down to earth. Besides, the technology is evolving rapidly, and might be different in a year or two.

I hope you have given up on this crazy notion that you would even be able to have a Prius.

dont know why you would say that considering i just wrote that i rented one for the day and was really comftorable in it. Granted i didn't put my dog in the back but i could see that there was plenty of room. Drove it for about 200 miles and felt pretty good. I understand if i want a really comftorable car ill go buy a caddy.

My 6'2" dh fits into his just fine, and your dog should be comfy in the back. I know nothing about driving in the snow on a regular basis - we just do it on trips to the mountains. Can you put snow tires on the Prius?

I second the suggestion to look into the Highlander if driving in snow on a regular basis is not a viable option for you. But - it seems the most of the country does it in smaller cars just fine.

Don't mind Pat -- he's a great bloke but his toilet spins the wrong direction and his steering wheel is on the wrong side. Having the steering wheel on the right side was something he probably wished the dealer explained to him before he left the lot. :D

ya i can put snow tires on the prius, thats what the plan was anyways. Considering ive owned fwd cars before and they did just fine, as long as i dont have to drive threw a blizzard which only happens 2-3 times a year around me, ill be fine.,

I just ordered on for $21,800. I still remember how to read a map and I don't own an iPod or a cell-phone, so I didn't need any of the packages.
