Sorry about the prius, but the most important thing is you are able to write us that you are OK.

 

Looking at the wrecked Prius pic, is there a reason why they need to cut the A-pillar on the passenger side?

 

They were starting to take off the roof, then they got the door open.

Thus the reason for non-smoker car insurance discount. Looks like damage was very similar to both vehicles although Prius extraction through door, Camry through roof. Offset at those speeds... be glad you weren't in one of those US made vehicles whose crash damage is so spectacular on youtube (F-150 PU for example).

If I remember correctly the physics are equal to running into a cement pillar at 90 mph. I'm sure one of the geniuses on here will correct me if I'm wrong.

Glad to see you made it through the accident. WOW. Just a note to make sure you work with your insurance to make sure they give you proper value for you "totaled" Prius. Watch out that they don't try to give a low ball figure based on used car sales months ago. Check what the same Prius models are going for now and make sure you get reimbursed for same. Your insurance company will hopefully support the case if necessary. (I suspect that based on the increase demand for the car in the past two months, the used car value has shoot up significantly.) I'll join the chorus of those who are glad that you're okay.

The pics alone are enough to make one want to slow down. Around here in eastern NC, it seems that people are always crossing the line... gives quite a fright.

WOW! that was something else. It is really interesting to see a car that we all have so beat up. Anywho, I love how you say 4 wheel steering in 2010, and you have a pic displaying how nicely that would look! (lol) Well I am glad your ok, and surprised the other driver is, from the looks of the pillar/sunroof area.

 

did you quickly lift your legs in a OH SHIT moment?! man from that floor board crumple it looks like your leg should have been smashed badly.

anyway glad your alright, not so glad the nice silver prius was destroyed.

I would right toyota who knows, i wouldnt hold my breathe though..they may give you a free trunk mat! j/k

Your OK... that's great! Get another Prius now... I bought my 05 in April 05... every day is another day I would have bought it again... you will feel a lot better when you're back in the car you love..!
