I may be converting to the full dash cover, from having a half dash cover, so I can use Velcro strips to secure my scan guage to it. Velcro adhesive does not adhere very well to the 2006-2008 textured dash. The industrial Velcro also does not adhere well.

The surface is just too pourous for the adhesive to establish good adhesion.

I just ordered my dash cover from Dash-Topper in Charcoal Suede. Talked to a really nice guy on the phone. I asked about the Velour vs. the Suede. He said the Velour tends to have a slight sheen and feels the Brushed Suede is really the best deal. He says that is what he uses in his car.

Maybe it is just sales since the Suede costs more but I really don't think so. He said each cover is made to order and that time to ship could be up to 5 days but usually less. He says that if I don't have it in 10 days I should call and check on the status.

So far, very satisfied with the process and people.

Will update when it arrives. Maybe a couple of pictures showing installation. Not sure how they will turn out... Charcoal on Black, but will give it a try.

My Dash-Topper arrived today. I am absolutely thrilled with the look and fit. It comes with a small strip of Velcro hook tape that hooks to the back of the cover. The instructions suggest letting it sit a bit in the sun and let it shape itself before using the Velcro to fasten it down. Actually it fits so well I may not even use the Velcro. Will have to wait and see.

I took a few pictures as soon a it arrived....

It is actually much darker than some photos show. The color is "Charcoal" and the fabric is "Brushed Suede"

I guess the next test is to see how I like it a few days from now.

....and to see how it does for the intended purpose of lowering the temperature in the car....;)

It does look pretty decent though.

Just did a quick trip to Target to pick up a couple of things. Two miles each way. Trashed the MPG. Oh well!

Anyway, this afternoon is overcast but the car still warms up when sitting for even 30 minutes. The interior parts, i.e. steering wheel, not covered were pretty warm. I slid my hand under the cover and the dash actually felt cool. The top of the cover felt warm so I guess it is doing "something". The real test will be a full sunny day.

Still waiting for the WeatherTech window guards so I can crack the windows.

Well rsforkner, we got our sedona suede dash topper yesterday, and sad to say, it doesn't fit anything like the one you received. :(

The front part is too short, and the back part that goes near the windshield is too long, and thus has buckles in it. But since you've had success, I'm gonna return it and give them one more chance to send me one that fits right. I'm also gonna ask for black instead of charcoal - the charcoal was much lighter than it seemed on the computer, and it produced too much glare.

I'll report back again once I get the replacement in.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that. By all means, send it back. Did you try calling them? I found the folks I spoke to were very helpful.

Mine has a couple of small wrinkles on that long strip at the windshield. A very slight tug and they flattened right out. I figured some of that was from being rolled up in the box. I'm going to give it a few days to flatten out before I add the Velcro fasteners.

Please let us know what happens.

Oh, I wouldn't mind a couple of small wrinkles.. problem is, the upper part seems to be about 1+ inch longer than the lower part, and because of that it buckles up and won't lay flat.

Even if you try to force it to lay flat, it just ends up buckling in over itself. It's that off. Really though, I think that that part of the measurement is actually the correct one, as the lower part is about 1/2 inch short on both sides. If the lower part were 1 inch longer, it would match the upper part and I would think the whole thing might actually fit then.

Oh well. I'll call them next chance I get and report back on how they respond.

Dash Designs purchased Dash-Topper quite recently. If you look at the web sites you still see two different phone numbers. I called the number for Dash-Topper. The folks were un-hurried and seemed willing to take real time to talk to me. Here is the number I used: Toll Free: 1-800-634-5645

That said it has been a couple of weeks and things could have changed. The box it came in said Dash Designs.
