2010 colors?

    We have Prius Taxis here in good old NYC. They come in Taxi yellow. Actually they are sharp looking.

    I was in Manhattan this weekend and snapped a few of the taxi Prius. I thought they looked good as well.

    That being said, in another thread they say the 2010 colors have been officially released, can anybody tell me what they are now?

    McDonald, nothing has been officially released about the 2010.

    First unveiling should be at the Detroit Auto show in January 2009. I think Toyota brochures will follow a little bit after that since the 2009 model year car is said to end early (likely in the Spring).

    Similar situation to the 2009 Matrix which unveiled at an auto showvery late 2008 and hit showrooms mid February this year, except the 2010 Prius will be pushed back a few months, I don't know how many.

    Maybe we can get Toyota to do a special package with Sanrio the way the SUV companies do with L.L. Bean and get a Hello Kitty! Edition Prius! ;D It would *totally* sell out in Tokyo!

    Everywhere we went in Japan last year, these beautiful shades of lavender and iris were prevalent -- even the main subway stations in Tokyo were themed with shades of light purple, and alot of the exteriors of midrise buildings too (where we'd have a brickface building in the US, they'll have ceramic tile). I would *love* to see those colors on a Prius.

    So anyone have any word/facts/links to what the colors will be for the 2010? I placed my order/got first on the list at my local dealer... I have an 06' black now and decided on black again but if it will come in a dark candy apple red color I think I'll go with that, I just LOVE that color that all the pics show the Honda FCX clarity in... Thats the color I hope Toyota does but if not it'll be black again...

    I understand but if you can please tell me then is there a color that somewhat or closely resembles the fcx clarity this time around? I'd just like to change my order now from black to 'burgandy' if there will be...

    I wouldn't worry about the color at this point. Your "order" is nothing more than a placeholder on a list at the dealer. They haven't placed an order with Toyota, since they can't yet for the 2010.

    Not sure where you live, but in the SF bay area, the dealers don't even place orders--Toyota just gives them an allocation twice a month.

    Yeah I hear you but I just am the type who would like to know I have it in te way i want it that's all... I figure they'll have to have a red color but I jsut dont want something as bright as the barcellona red was, i liked the salsa red somewhat but they stopped it when I got my 06... I am really hoping for more of a metallic burgandy without the brown tones in it... Guess we'll have to wait and see. how is it that danny and the site ot the colors but can't disclose it, a deal with toyota? If it's a leak why cant the info be put out there? just wondering

    That I don't know. Toyota has plenty of reds in its lineup and we'll see if it plans to produce any new darker reds. So far, it seems to be focussing on the brighter ones.

    I have a 2007 PKG 6 silver Pine Mica with Gray leather interior. That goes better together than the light tan or whatever it is called. It does need a better selection of interior colors though:cool:

    If Silver Pine Mica is being dropped is there a new color being introduced for 2010 that is similar? I have really come to appreciate this color after owning it for almost 6 months.

    Hello Danny, I have been watching the PriusChat since August waiting for colors to show up for the 2010. I currently drive a highlander hybrid, and now that one kid is in college can go smaller to a Prius. I have a downpayment on a 2010 already, and am 3rd in line through my dealer, once they get their allocation. Are you ready to post the colors? It is only 40 more days until Toyota officially reveals the vehicle. Please, please, please. :confused:

    Yes, me too...please, please, please list the colors...as I have to decide on 2009 vs. 2010 soon! And I'm a girl so color is most important.
