lowering mod(s)

Have a look at Sigma. They have some other branded springs for the Prius. The TRD doesn't lower much, but you really don't want to go much lower, otherwise scraping happens. The TRDs lower the Prius enough that it's noticeble. The fender gap is definitely reduced.

The Prius is Brake-By-Wire, so nothing you do will change the feel of the brake peddle.

I suggest that you do some research on the Prius braking system. It is unlike any conventional braking system and does not need any upgrade. The friction bakes only work at below 9MPH or in a panic situation. It takes a while to get used to it but when you do you will really injoy it.

That may be true of the brake booster / pump up front to accommodate the power regeneration circuits. However, there are basic steel brake lines going to the rear wheels, coupled with basic hydraulic actuators and brake drums (1960's technology).

True, but upgrading to stainless will not stiffen up the pedal as the OP wants. He just has to get used to regenerative braking.

Lowered Spring option- Beside TRD, RS*R do offer lowered spring for Prius. I'm not aware of any coilover setup for Prius yet.

Stainless stell brake line - TOM'S do make SS brake line. Not sure if it will fit US Prius as JDM Prius have 4 disc brake as standard. US Prius have drum brake on rear.

Man, I'm so disappointed. I searched for coilovers and lowering on this website, and have yet to see any good photographs of Prius cars that have been dropped. As for scraping, what is preventing the Prius from being lowered? Is it the tire clearance in the wheel wells or something underneath? I understand the relationship between skinny tires and gas mileage, but I'm sorry, driving a doorstop on skateboard wheels doesn't actually look very attractive.

Well I would suggest if you bought the Prius to own an attractive car....you could have done a lot better with some other choices. I bought mine for the mileage and car pool access permit which was soon to be available.

I have 86K on my Prius, get an average of 47 MPG and have the CA coveted car pool access stickers. Now it is true that I have done some serious mods to my Prius to make it more to my liking, but I do that with every car I have owned for over 35 years. It is not attractive, it is distinctive.

 

How low do you want to go?
