    Hi Brian,

Which dealership did you buy your car from? I am on the waiting list at North Point in Little Rock, and am wondering if I will ever get the call that my car is in -- especially since I live in Los Angeles . . .

I got mine from Lander's Toyota in Little Rock. North Point Toyota is actually in North Little Rock. Little know fact ouside of Arkansas- Little Rock and North Little Rock are seperate cities (unfortunatly there are some people in AR that don't know that though).I went to North Point first and had a good experience with them, they just didn't have what I wanted on the lot whereas Lander's did.

Are you saying you didn't have to wait and they just had your car or did you get on both lists? I'm in Monticello, and waiting on my barcelona red touring, pkg 5 with leather and xm. Of course many here are getting on both lists. Landers offered this pkg without touring for $800 more which I thought wasn't a very good deal. Mine should be here from North Point by the end of the month. Actually, Hot Springs called me and had a couple that were available but they must be adding to the MSRP because they were about $2000 more for the same options.
Of course with all the waiting you question yourself about going ahead with the 08 or waiting for the 09 - who knows!

Well, I had to wait like a week. When I said the North Point didn't have what I wanted and Lander's did, it would actually be more acurate to say that North Point didn't have any on the lot nor could they find a dealer to trade with them, whereas Lander's found a dealer to trade with.

I didn't get to drive it off the lot, but we ordered it on a Saturday and we picked it up the following Thursday. This was back in March before we actually had waiting lists in Central Arkansas so I didn't get on any waiting lists.

I got mine from Phil Wright in Russellville for MSRP after about three weeks, no deposit.
Just to throw out another option I haven't seen mentioned.

I went to Landers looking for a car for my son and saw a black prius that was sold, but they wouldn't
even let me look inside. I finally was able to drive one at North Point. My geatest concern is the ability to get in and out since I have back problems and need a vehicle you don't have to "fall into or climb up into". The prius seemed to be ok - not quite as good as my RX but I'm not the only one who will be using it. I called Russellville, and they didn't have any not already assigned to a potential buyer.
Now I'm a little concerned that I might need to wait for the 09's especially if they get better mileage.

You might want to try Orr Toyota in Hot Springs. They seemed to have some not assigned, but I believe they are asking a little more for theirs. They will work with you though because they were going to with me, but didn't have the color I wanted. Just had gold or
    silver pkg 5.

I am a soon to be Prius owner in Cabot, near LR. I am on the waiting list w/ North Point, but I am number 1 since I ordered a base, for what I think is MSRP ($21,800). We'll see how long it takes!
