Has anyone used a product called Pro clips? They look pretty handy for mounting Mp3 players, Gps units, cell phones etc. onto your dash
    Thanks

I've got a ProClip that I use to mount my PocketPC on the dash. It occasionally will fall off... even with the adhesive tape that comes with it applied. But, overall it is a good unit. It looks good, fits well and fits the device well. A bit overprices IMHO, but YMMV.

I use a Pro clip for my Motorola Q phone and it works great. A little pricey, but it was designed to fit the Prius dash. The mount is very solid.

I've had a hell of a time trying to get my Proclip to attach. The front clip (attached to the vent) is a piece of cake. The rear clip I just can't seem to get it in the slot.

The little tool they provided doesn't really help much either.

Going to try it again this weekend with a tape wrapped screwdriver. Hopefully I won't screw up my dash.

I'd go with a Panavise clip myself, since the attachment seems a lot more secure.

I have used the USA Pro Clips in my other vehicles but was unhappy with the version for the Prius. They were difficult to attach and were in a poor location.

Use the spreading tool to open the gap, put the back hook in first then the front one. If you do the front first you have no hope.
If you can't get it on that way it is easy to dismantle the dash, you will only need to undo 2 screws. Here http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/chris-dragon-dash.pdf are instructions for dismantling the dash.

I have the Proclip and it is fantastic! My car is right hand drive but things are still the same but backward there.
