    Hi

My previous car had a "slot" in the center console cover for the charging cable for the cell phone.

In my 08 prius, the center console cover does not allow the charging cable to reach the cell phone which I put in the cupholder right at the front of the center console.

I'd rather not use the 12V outlet under the dash to avoid dangling cables.

Did anyone drill a hole or make a slot to allow a cable to exit the center console? if so I'd appreciate to see how you have done it.

    Thanks

Hmm I have no problem with mine. There is enough room for the wires to come out the side of the center console with it being closed.

I, too, just have the cord coming out from under the lid with no problem. But drilling a hole is no problem...there's very little in the front or sides to damage. I drilled a hole for my NAV defeat button.

I leave my phone inside the console and use the Bluetooth hands-free of the Prius.
