Which car seats/booster permit 3 in rear?

I'm trying to figure how/if I can get 3 kids in the backseat of my Prius. I found a thread from 2004, but nobody offered specifics. I've currently a Britax Marathon and Parkway and am trying to figure how I can get a 3rd something in between. The Marathon user is my 4 y.o. daughter who in theory could move to a booster but I really was hoping to keep her in there longer (until Sept. 2009 when she enters kindergarten). The Parkway user is my 6.5 y.o. daughter who's quite petite so she'll need a booster for a whlie.

    Thanks for your recommendations!

We've mostly used graco products of various types and got them to wedge in. We had 2 in boosters and one in car seat/baby carrier, and for a while our boys were in car seats...but we moved them to boosters as soon as my daughter moved to a forward facing seat b/c it was so tight.

I finally figured out a reasonable solution to this issue. We have three kids, 6 month (rear facing), 2 year and 7 years.

After much shuffling and trying out different configuration of seating, we've discovered that the trick is to use a Radian 80 in the center seat. The Radian 80 is narrower and shallower than a typical Britax. it will fit just under the lip of the bigger Britax Marathon. there is a slight overlap from the Marathon over the Radian, but it actually makest the 2 seats fit together almost as if they were made for each other. This way our 7 year old at 50 lbs is in a 5 point harness in the Radian 80, and not wedged behind the outer shell of the wider Britax Marathon.

Theoretically we can now fit Marathon/Radian80/Marathon into the rear seat. though we are now using a Graco (rear facing)/Radian80/Marathon. The outside seats are sercured using the normal seat belt locked down in the Marathon's locking clip. The radian 80 uses the Latch. This way all of the seat belts are also easily accessible.

Prior to this we had the 7 year old between the other 2 car seats without booster. The booster did not fit, but because the rear driver and center seat belt overlap, it was extremely difficult to insert the seat belt each time, once the Marathon was installed. This is probably due to the narrowness of the rear seat, but still a very poor design on the part of Toyota. Anyway, with the Radian 80, those seat belts are no longer in play and all 3 of our babies are tucked in comfortably and secure.

I'll try to post pictures of our set up if anyone needs to see.

Baby car seats are very important to the safety of your child while he/she is traveling in a vehicle. All newer car seats meet all the safety regulations that have been established nationally. The correct installation and the correct seat can be the difference between injury and no injury should you become involved in a crash.
