Hi guys - I wanted to share a new feature on PriusChat. Now you can request a price quote for a Prius directly through PriusChat without ever having to leave the site.

All you have to do is fill out the simple information provided on the Price Quote Request page, then a dealer will contact you with pricing and information on the next steps. By submitting a request directly through PriusChat, you save yourself the hassle of having to contact dealerships near you to find out their availability and pricing - let them come to you!

I look forward to receiving your feedback on this program. Hopefully we'll have a lot of success stories come out of it!

Just found out this morning that my Prius is in production - package #3, touring, magnetic gray. Should be here in about two weeks. (whew!) So, the whole process will have taken 8-9 weeks total. Glad it's finally on its way. To everyone else: keep the faith!

Dealer called and indeed my Touring #2 was delivered today. I'll be able to pick it up tomorrow morning after their Post Delivery Inspection process. Which makes me wonder what all they do for an inspection after they get the vehicle.

I just got a call from Showcase Honda telling me they had a 2005 prius that they got in as a trade in if I wanted to come take a look at it. (They had my name because I briefly looked at the Civic Hybrid) Funny thing is even though he called me he didn't have any info on the car, first call he told me it was a 2007 but he'd call back with more info if I was interested. When he called back he didn't have any pricing info, or list of options and told me it was actually a 2005 and he thought it had about 30k miles on it.

So then I called the dealer that has my deposit (Avondale Toyota) and couldn't get any info from them, my salesman was off today and the random salesman they patched me through too never called me back :(

It was 2 weeks ago today that iIsigned, paid a deposit, and started my wait. I found this forum and have learned a LOT. AND I see more and more on the road each day. Sat at a red light on Sunday, grinning stupidly at the guy next to me, sitting in his Prius. It finally dawned on me , he didn't know I was admiring the CAR . . . .

To everyone who has gotten their car-congrats. I'm still waiting to hear anything on mine. I put a deposit down on May 1st. My dealer was suppose to hear about their next allotment this past weekend but I didn't hear anything so I don't think I got a car on this one. It does seem like it's taking a long time. I think it's a race to see if TravelBliss or I will get a Prius first!

Hello to all, just putmy name onthe list 10 days ago and then got the call that the car is on the way via boat I think. I guess that aren't many folks that only want or are willing to take a #1. This is all happening way sooner than I thought it would which is AOK with me. As far as the experience of dealers I was very pleased. I had calld 2 dozen dealers here in So. Cal and they wanted $3000 - 5000 over MSRP much like many other stories I have benreading about. Fortunately I was able to locate 2 dealers that were playing fair. So much for below MSRP is this area. Will keep you all posted as to the arrival etc.

I'll reiterate that the best, low-pressure way to test drive a Prius is to rent one (Hertz, Enterprise, some dealers) for a weekend. Best $100 I've recently spent.

We picked up hubby's yesterday--it turned out to be almost exactly 8 weeks.

A couple next to us was also picking up a Prius. I went over and told them to check out this site and how they could find out almost everything they ever wanted to know. Also suggested it to the salespeople there.:D

Well, I'm trying not to get my hopes up... but...

My dealer just called saying they're looking at a late july/early august delivery date for those on the waiting list! He says he should have a rough delivery date for me next week!!

YEA!! I've only been on the waiting list since June 19th... so if true, that's pretty darn cool!

Come to mama, Spectra Blue pkg #6 :) (granted that's my first choice let's see if it happens)

I'm really upset with the Team Toyota Dealership in Langhorne.

I put my deposit down of $1000.00 on May 26 and was told that the wait time would be 6 - 8 weeks.

Setting up for my new Prius I sold my current car this weekend expecting the prius to arrive sometime this week or next. My salesman, Steve Larson, calls me yesterday and tells me that it could take longer, alot longer.

When I bought my car the salesmen showed me a list with 3 people ahead of me. I feel like I was swindeled in to leaving a deposit.

Is anyone else having this issue with the Team Toyota dealership?

I'm soooo close. Went in and did all the paperwork this morning, but they were backlogged on their post delivery inspections, so I won't be able to pick it up until later this afternoon. Pleasantly surprised that they didn't try to hard sell me the extended warranty or undercarriage protectant or anything like that. Had to dicker about the floor mats I didn't want that were installed at the port, but they gave me a dealership credit to compromise.

Woo hoo! Just got a call on an available Prius at my local dealership, white package 3, at sticker. It should be here in two weeks! :) I wanted a package 5 or 6, but I'll gladly settle for the 3 at sticker.

I live in Frisco TX and ordered mine through Cowboy Toyota...sales person Donna Estep. GREAT experience. Ordered a Silver package 6 touring and she was able to find me a package 5 touring with leather upgrade for a bit cheaper. It will be here on the 17th of July which will make 7 weeks after I paid my deposit.

After driving my 2003 Dodge Ram averaging 13.98 MPG :( for the past month, I have a little MPG to make up! lol

For an update on this I just got a call back on that used Prius, on the third call I finally got the mileage (43,300) and a price... ready for this, $24,900. He said it might include an extended factory warranty but he wasn't sure, still couldn't tell me the option package. I told him no thanks, but wait they'll deal on it... NO THANKS!

If anyone is that desperate it's sitting on the lot at showcase honda in Phoenix, Az right now. Personally I think the salesman is a joke but I can't say anything about the actual condition of the car... he did mention that it had been there for about a week with at least one test drive a day.

Got it! Touring #2 in Mag Gray has a new home. Thanks to everyone on the Wait List Support Group for helping the time go by a little easier. Will post pics to the Newbie thread up top when I get a spare moment.

I got a call from my Toyota Dealer yesterday I have been waiting for a silver package #2, he said he had someone back out of a white package #2 with beige interior. Can not decide whether to get the white or wait for the silver. My question is the white a bad color, and is beige a bad interior color. We have no kids so we should be ok with it. If I pass on this it maybe a while before I can get the silver what would you do.

That may depend on how badly you need the vehicle. I am on a waiting list and have been offered 3 vehicles so far. None were the colors I requested in my order. I believe the vehicles offered me were ordered by others and turned down or perhaps the financing wasn't approved. I am waiting until I get one of my color choices. I've waited a month so far and still have patience.:)
