Blacking out a Prius

This guy John's Tinted Tails is the best (imo).
One reason is his speedy replies to e-mail questions. HERE is their e-mail page for asking Q's.

You can order the fixtures from him (already tinted) if he has them in stock, or send him yours for a 2-day turnaround.
These guys have the highest quality workmanship in exterior light fixture spray tint, including automobile grade clear coat on top!

You could purchase aerosol spray tint and DIY, or you could ask a local tint store to do this with spray or film instead, but it won't match Tinted Tails quality(imo).

Yeah, you would have to fully understand the science behind the application as well as fully interpret the vehicle code for lights in CA(I hear CA has some pretty strict visibility codes for tinting, etc.), then be prepared to stand by that if you were ever challenged on the mod. I can understand your hesitance.

However, you could get the smoke color tint film for your lights(peels right off) then if you get hassled by the fuzz(would only be a fix it ticket), you could peel off the film. Just in case you still don't want to quit the idea.
