two swivel patio chairs one weekend and the next weekend 20 bags of mulch (covered the cargo area with a blanket first. Once the mulch was piled outside, you would swear they would never fit in that car!

    Awesome!

me! When I got the car in march I was over 400lbs. I was astonished that I fit so well! The car has of course trimmed me down by 50lbs so far but she never complained nor leaned over. Truly a nice attitude!

I've fit my "Pedal-Powered Harley" INSIDE my Prius with the rear hatch closed and without removing either wheel (it was tight but it fit!).

A big treadmill once out of the box. Also, a bunch of patio furniture that was bought and wouldn't all fit in the SUV. It's an amazing car!

    Ok.
I had 12 boxes of shoes, a night table, 4x3x2 japanese armoire (i think those were the dimensions) a small book case, some loose clothing, a day bag of clothes.
I knew I should have taken a picture but the ex was moving out and my mind set was more on that instead of how much of her stuff I fit in my prius.

It's not the largest load but it is fairly unusual. :)

Some of you seriously maxed out the cargo area of this car!

load 2: 120V Hobart welder, shield gas bottle, work lights & other tools

I'm still most proud of putting a 17 HP Troy-Bilt riding mower inside my 1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon. The 42" deck went on the roof rack.

I had a 36x60 canvas in mine yesterday. It fit like it was made to fit in there. I backed the Prius under the overhang at the art supply store since it was pouring. The worker was skeptical that it would fit... but once I folded down the seat it swallowed it up. I did have my large Britax car seat in there as well (not strapped to the seat, just lying in the back loose).

The heaviest weight I've had in mine was 12 40lb bags of pool salt.

I've hauled a couple unusual things...

    1) two 33 inch tires installed on wheels.
    2. A 60 inch double sink bathroom countertop. "Everything but the kitchen sink" still applies. Oh wait, I did bring home a kitchen sink too. But that was much smaller and didn't include a 5' counter top molded to it.

Mind you, this is a G1 Prius without folding rear seats.

It's also my work car, so daily I haul 6 large tupperware bins full of implantable pacemakers, defibrillators, leads and invasive cardiology equipment, plus all of the accompanying computers to analyze said equipment. With room for a passenger if need be :).

have had myself and 10K rounds of ammo, 3 shotguns, 1 sniper rifle, an ak-74, a dozen handguns, carry cases for said rifles, shotguns, and handguns, a couple of cleaning kits, and a greyhound named "Booger" to watch over it all.

I was impressed that I could fit a 40 gallon hot water heater complete in the huge box in the car plus hoses and tools. True we had to tie down the hatchback, but it all fit in.

As you can probably guess from my handle, I breed clownfish for a hobby. I went to pick up some used fish tanks from a store about 20 miles from home. They are six feet eight inches long, and there were two of them. The guy who helped me load said, "I hope you brought a truck with you." When I told him I brought my Prius, he said, " Well, that's the smallest car ever built!" and he gave me a doubtful look.
    See below.
