    Beautiful. What filters or settings did you use to get that vivid saturation of color? Settings & exposure? I'm just starting to learn how to use my new dSLR after being away from a 35mm for a long while. How quickly I have forgotten the basics is scary.

    Maybe you would like to give online lessons? Photo tip of the week or some such thing?

    The camera is a Nikon D100 DSLR with a Nikkor 24-120 attached. No filters were used.

    If there is any recommendation that I would give, it would be to learn proper post-processing of the digital picture. Learn how to use PhotoShop (Elements) or similar.
    One thing I tend to do (in digital photography) is deliberately underexpose the scene by something like 2/3 stops or more. You can correct that afterwards, and it gives you more latitude to play with the colors in post-processing (histogram correction with levels/curves, saturation increase, white balance correction, ...). And it reduces the risk of blown-away highlights, one of the major curses of digital photography.

    Thanks for the tips. I just got the Nikon D60 and am amazed at the in-camera editing features. I just need to learn how to use them.
