One of the spokes on my rear wheel is broken. The wheel is out of true, but I don't have time to take it to the shop today. I'll just keep riding on it until I have time to take it in.

I'm saddened to say the coffee I made this morning is not very good.

I swept the garage floor. Either it is dissolving or there was 4-years worth of winter salt waiting to be swept. (Too interesting?)

Is this really the "Most Boring Thread"?

I do not know. Is Rockefeller rich? Is the Pope Catholic? Does a squirrel shit in the woods?

Speaking of squirrels, I just finished placing a sack or pocket of mothballs under the hood of my Prius in an attempt to repel squirrels who might otherwise eat my hoses, wiring harnesses, and cable and wire covers for lunch.

First I got a box of mothballs at the 99 cents store across the street (it cost 99 cents, plus 8.375% sales tax).

Then I searched my apartment for suitable material to put the mothballs in.

I didn't have any of the usual suspects (old pantyhose or cheesecloth) lying around, so I cut the packing pocket off one of those cheap, wire sprung, ventilated/netting clothes hampers which I had also bought at the 99 cents store (it also cost 99 cents, plus 8.375% sales tax).

Then I went out to the Prius for the installation.

I looked under the hood for about an hour to find the most suitable place for the sack of mothballs.

Didn't really find a great spot for it (things sure are tight down there).

So I ended up lying the sack flat (i.e., with a single layer of mothballs) on top of that large flat silvery plastic cover thing that says Hybrid or something on it, and taping down the flat sack of single layer mothballs with duct tape.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that was the same roll of duct tape I got after 9-11 when the government suggested that we have duct tape around in case of terrorist attacks.

I purloined my father's duct tape. It does wonders for holding my top in place.

I would start a 200-word-only thread but that might accidentally turn interesting.

I don't know, Roxana. Anytime a woman says she's hot, I think it automatically verges into the interesting for some people. You probably can't even get away with saying you are sweaty.

Of all the domestic chores there are, I think ironing clothes has to be the most horrendous. Who came up with this standard anyway that says smooth fabric is preferable to wrinkled material?? What a waste of time and electricity. (is that boring enough?)

Ironing is mind numbing and today is my laundry day. I just put another load in.

I used to have an old fashioned sad iron, but my husband would never let me try it out.

I need to do some ironing this evening. I'm putting it off as long as I can. I think I'll go check the air pressure in my tires.

    Send me the leftovers.

I'm having a certain medical procedure on Wednesday.

In preparation for the procedure, beginning today I cannot eat vegetables, fruits, nuts or meat.

But my doctor's written instructions go on to say "You can still have a normal meal like rice, fish, chicken, bread, egg, bun, or noodles."

I cleaned my oven this weekend.

This morning I checked it to make sure that it was still clean.

Good luck with that procedure, Boo. But I have to say...It sounds a little too interesting to be on this thread.
