I have a magnetic grey '08 5 package and and superwhite 08' 6 package. Trying to breed them together in my garage to make a silver classic package 5 1/2.

Two more weeks until I join the 2-Prius family club. My "old man tan" driftwood pearl will be joining my wife's magnetic gray. Can't wait!

As of tomorrow, we'll be a two-Prius family. My 2006 Package 4 Classic Silver, and my wife's new 2008 Seaside Pearl Package 6. I'll probably be trading in my 2006 for a new 2008, since my wife's new one is going to have all the bells and whistles that I don't have in my 2006 and I'll be jealous as hell. ;)

We still have the 2001 Dodge Caravan for the time being to use as the family car, since we can't fit everyone in one Prius and sometimes taking two cars just isn't practical, but we'll see how much we use it and might offload it at some point. It's paid for and insurance is cheap, and we'd be lucky to get $2k for it, so we might as well hold onto it for now.

That's gentler than the "Grandpa Gold" I've heard on salesman call it. ;)

    Hi all--

Someone really necro'd this thread up from the pits. I can't speak for myself (single guy living alone). But I'm friends with a family that has three Priuses - the parents share a silver 2010 (90k+ already), the older sister has a red 2007 which used to belong to the parents, and the younger brother has a silver 2004, which if I recall correctly, broke ~208k miles recently.

I distinctly remember pulling up in their driveway the same day I'd bought my blue 07 Prius and getting some odd looks. Four Priuses in one driveway, I wish I had taken a picture.

Until then, I suppose this picture would have to do. :)

    extended family:
wife's 2007 silver, everything but the leather, bought as a certified used now at 71K
sister's 2009, red, everything but leather and navigation, bought new (same dealer as wife's), I sold it to her last year. (lost my job) now at 25K
niece's 2002, silver, no navigation, bought as a certified used, 12.31.2002. I have the 6 disc CD to install someday, sold it to her in 2009 to buy the red 2009. was the dealer demonstrator. now 101K
so what am I driving? my wife's old car, a 1995 Subaru Legacy SW. Once I find work and some financial security, I'm looking at for a 2002 or 2003 that I can pick up cheap and put a new Gen II battery pack in.

We are a two Prius family. Not by my choice. My wife bought a 04 Prius Package 9 back in 2005 as Toyota Certified Used Car. It's been okay. About $7000 in Toyota Extended Warranty repairs (we bought the warranty via PriusChat! saved our rear!).

It came time to replace my car. I drive about 400 miles a month and figured I could take her old Prius and buy her something new.

We go to 3-4 Autoshows a year (I fly for an airline...free travel) and she knows just about every new car out there....but all she wanted was a Prius.

So on 12/31/2010 I bought her a Blizzard Pearl 2010 Prius IV with 0% interest. She only wanted the IV because it had smart key on 3 doors. If we were buying now she'd be fine with a Prius III.

Anyways we are a 2 Prius household. I plan on driving the 2004 till the wheels fall off...or the 2010 is paid off whichever happens first.
