    "SYDNEY, Australia - Pope Benedict XVI arrived in Australia on Sunday, saying he wants to use his visit to raise awareness about global warming and address the crisis of clergy sexual abuse."

    "Asked about global warming, the pope said there is a need to "wake up consciences" about the issue.
    "We have to give impulse to rediscovering our responsibility and to finding an ethical way to change our way of life," he said. Politicians and experts must be "capable of responding to the great ecological challenge and to be up to the task of this challenge," he added.

    Hey, great! Both the Scientists and the Church agree that global warming is real and something needs to be done about it! Wooohooo! (how often do the two actually agree on something? This is making History!)

    Once, I reached 3700 RPM accelerating at a light to show that stupid ricer in
    the souped up Honda that my car does not "suck eggs."
    I laughed out loud, and made fun of the driver of the Hummer next to me at
    the gas station when the pump showed $176.
    I lust after the GM Volt, the Think Ox, and the ZENN, and the Hymotion battery
    modification, although not necessarily in that order.

    I had expected this, but not for several hundred years. Wasn't it 1992 that the Vatican finally admitted that Galileo and Copernicus were right about the Sun being at the centre of the solar system?

    He hs way too many followers for me to scoff at this. Add another huge helping of followers for Patriarch Bartholomew I's followers and you could potentialy have a lot of people trying to do better for us and the environment. :)

    Now if we could just tackle the large family issue. It's related to a lot of the new sins that the church has invented (which are actually quite good ones, much better than the old ones. I could care less if someone, neighbor or otherwise, covets me arse :D)
