I saw a posting a day or two ago about the "Seventh Cupholder" and found that it is probably supposed to be for a standard square tissue box. The little drawer is actually a little deeper than shown here, but I keep it closed a little to snug up the tissue box. You could easily stow something that you don't use often, like a tire guage or phone charger in there with the tissue box in place.

    I took a picture.

Thank you for a good suggestion, I did just that after reading your article.

I had heard about the drawer for the tissue box, but thought it was supposed to fit in the drawer and allow it to close. I searched in vain for it in several stores and there was nothing even close. Then I found a small Kleenex box that did fit. Very nice indeed.

I've seen those rather small, flat boxes before (usually at the hospital), but I kinda liked being able to get a tissue at a moment's notice for sneezes and the occasional spill (I have only water in the car right now, but someday I will have coffee and someday I know I'll drip).

I think the flat ones are like this. I can see those being very useful!

Perhaps thirty boxes are more than I will need for the life of the car.

LOL - I didn't mean the whole case of them!

But I suppose if we're doing a group buy for leather interior - we could do a group buy for tissues!

    Tissues FYI

Came across a Kleenex brand "soft pack" that has a cardboard frame like the old flat box. This contains two soft packs of tissues. You can use it with or without the frame and it fits perfectly.

    I got these at Target.

    Well Duh!!

I must have had one of those senior moments. Knew the drawer was there and wondered what I would ever use it for. Then Proceeded to put velcro on the bottom of the square Kleenex box and attached it to the carpet in front of the drawer so I could not have opened the drawer anyway. Thanks to this thread/topic I now have used the box for its intended purpose.

btw: I have found 4 cup holders not 7. Am I missing 3 (Not counting the box)?

    Re: Well Duh!!

If you look at the front doors you'll notice a little bump out at the very front of that bottom compartment there, it fits a small bottle of water/iced tea or a soda can nicely.

There are two cup holders in the center compartment and then the two from that same compartment that fold out for the back seats ...

I think that makes six, and I've heard that the "tissue drawer" can also hold a large "big gulp" sized cup well.

I use the "tissue box/7th cup holder" to hold my nalgene water bottle. It is very wide, and I take it almost everywhere I go, and am very happy to have a place to put it in the car, as it does not fit in a standard cup-holder.

I tried a few different boxes and couldn't get one that allowed closure. Then EUREKA!!! take a stackof full sized ones out of the box and plunge them stark naked into the drawer and close! Works fine.

Good idea. I put my gloves in there, but maybe I'll try the tissue box to keep it rom sliding off the front seat.

I use the small hidden compartment on the left side of the trunk for any take out food, so the car won't smell. I'm trying to keep the new car smell as long as possible.
