Can someone explain the Consumption Screen, especially the meaning of the five minute bars. What happens after 30 minutes, do the bars get replaced with new ones? I have a 2008, pkg.#2.
    Thanks

The 5-minute bars show your average MPG during that time. The car/leaf symbol that may appear shows the amount of energy regenerated. A full symbol is 50wH or the amount of energy required to light a 50 watt bulb an hour. The bar to the right of the 5-minute bars is instantaneous MPG.

That bar then moves to the left after 5 minutes and is replaced by the latest bar. This continues; the bar on the right is your last 5 minutes and the ones to the left are previous bars. It only can show a total of 30 minutes at a time so if you took a trip of say, an hour, it would show the last 30 minutes.

"john dough", you seem an excellent candidate for John 1701a's site
Start with his user's guide, a very good primer on the prius and its various quirks and functions.
