Quick question about packages...

    I looked before, butcouldn't find my exact question. Are packages between the Touring and the basic the same? Like, is a package 3 on a basic the same as the package 3 on a touring? Or, is the touring no package the same as a basic with let's say package 5 or 6? Sorry if this seems like a silly question, I looked before posting!

    For 2008 the package numbers contain the same equipment for the touring & non-touring models except that all touring have HID & fog lights. Packages 5 & 6 are identical on both cars. A standard 4 is identical to a touring 3. This happens because the standard 4 is the lowest package with HID & fog lights. I don't have a 2009 booklet.

    Hi Gilmore753.

    Instead of writing a long confusing post, I decided just to scan a part of the 2009 Prius brochure. You can see that it has the touring to the right side and the basic prius on the left and you can compare them.
