I don't get it. I just plug my iPod into the Aux Jack and call it good. Works great, and I'm a bit of a music nut.

wow this is awesome. Thanks for the link FWD. I'd love to see a group buy for this or something.

@rpg51, this allows you to control your music through the MFD instead of having to control it from the iPod.

if i used this would i need to charge anything, and would it actually integrate with the MFD. And lastly would you expect better sound quality than using an ipod (i know you might not know but just a guess).

I emailed them some questionsand got a quick response from them:

    > When will it be available?
VML will be available in about 2 weeks.

    > How much will it cost?
It will retail for $450 w/o HDD

    > How much power will it allow the USB drive to consume from it?
    up to 750 mA

    > What are the restrictions as far as file names, folders, etc?
It'll be in the manual, it's just there are a lot of them.

yeah. I wonder how many people would be interested in a group buy or something. Also, I want to see the manual to better understand the file restrictions.

Also, got this from their forum site:

"There are future plans to have the MutiMediaLinQ support video, but not the model that is just coming out."

    What about Video??
Why not get the CoastalTech Lock pick. Then you can integrate a laptop or mini computer or iPhone/pod and watch video? Especially for $500!!!
Plus the LockPick lets a backup camera integrate.
