Is Toyota making any Prius with #4 package?

Why is it that everywhere I look, I can only find #5 or #6 packages?

I'm in the Southeast and it has become apparent that I have to travel else where to find a Prius w/ #4 package. I want VSC & HID... I don't need all the other crap that Toyota tries to sell.

If you know of an area or dealership that has/had #4 pacakge, could you please post up the information? Thank you.

We too are in the Southeast (Atlanta area) and quickly gave up on getting a Prius around here. Wait lists for who knows how long or paying $4,000.00 over MSRP. Decided to try calling around the country. I ended up finding a car on the dealer lot in northern Indiana with package #4, the only other option the car came with was the floor and cargo mats, which we really wanted. We really wanted a Prius with no packages at all but it is nice to have the Smart Key System. We got the car for MSRP plus a $99.95 (if I remember right)documentation fee and had to pay 6% Indiana sales tax instead of the 5% for the Georgia county we live in. My husband flew up to Chicago Midway on AirTran and took a shuttle bus to the airport in South Bend where the salesman met him in our car and my husband drove back that day after being shown things about the car. I was leery about getting a car from out of state but it could not have worked out better. We did everything by phone, fax and overnight "mail". It worked out so well that my husband went ahead and got a second Prius from the same dealership, picking the second one up a month later. Had to wait for the second one to get off the boat and for my husband to have a Friday off. Reply if you want more information.

    Anywhere in Northern California.

My dealer, Maita Toyota in Sacramento told me last week that the wait times were down to about 30 days. Easy to deal with, no dealer add-ons, MSRP.

You'll have to go to the midwest, I guess. I got a package 4 in Manhattan, Kansas last November, and my brother picked up a package 4 in Colorado last week.

I just bought one yesterday in Tideland. I got the Package 4 with floormats for 23,300.

Unfortunately I'll have to wait a week or two to get it.

    Congrats, Torf!

I guess it must be a Mid-west option. I'll try out the dealers in IL/IN area. Thanks!

If you find an agreeable dealer, you can get any package number you want. Toyota is making them all and shipping them to the U.S. in quantity, however certain sales regions choose only certain packages to make part of their standard lot stock or standard shipments. I live in the PNW region, which is owned by Toyota, unlike the GST and SE regions (thanks to other members for educating me in that respect). Anyway, if you find a dealer who will actually go looking for what you want and secure it in transit, you can have any package you wish. For example, package 5 isn't part of the normal lot stock in the PNW, however that is the package I wanted. 6 was too expensive and 4 was too stripped for what you paid for it. I found an out of town dealer that was happy to secure a 5 in my color choices in transit. I had the car in less than 3 weeks.

If you aren't finding a dealer that will go out and secure a vehicle while it is in transit or in port in Japan, find one that will.

I bought one(a package 4) at Beck Toyota, in Indianapolis,on March 8, it was on the lot unspoken for, no wait at all. Just planned to test drive, but I had to buy it while it was available.

We got our #4 in February at Pueblo Toyota in Pueblo, Colorado. The wait was three months, but it seems to have shrunk since then - last week the salesman called and asked if I knew anyone who wanted a white #6, because he had one on the lot.

We love this car. My wife and I used to argue over who had to drive; now we argue over who gets to drive. (Fortunately this means no additional net strain on the marriage!)

We have a Prius, unspoken for on our lot. I will check on package when I get to work. They have been selling them at MSRP,no mark up, and I'm sure if it is what you want,a sales person would be glad to pick you up at the airport.

Plenty of 'em in the Pacific Northwest -- I've got an AM package, and many of my friends have them.

Package 4 is one of the 3 choices available in KY. Apparently our region gets #1, 4, and 6. It wouldn't be a lot closer to you than IN/IL, but at least it's one more area to shop around in.

I got one in January at Rosner Toyota in Fredericksburg VA. Very good experience. Ask for Steele. They seem to be able to get an incredible # of Priuses. Paid list.

With unleaded regular at 2.20 a gallon, whatever inventory that exists surely is getting ready to go.

I would act with great haste to find one.

Check Trader Online, call the dealerships with Prius ads. Someone has your car at MSRP.

But don't wait, oil hit yet another new high and what we have now is just the low for fuel costs at the pump.

    Gas is going up MORE.

There are a couple of Prius' sitting on our lot now. Including one prior rental car w/o smart key. Go to our website... ask for Brian MacPhail he is in charge of internet sales.

And I'll add as a richmond native, McGeorge is a solid dealership... been around forever it seems. I remember it being around when i was a kid...

Funny thing is.. head south into NC and you lose the 4 in favor of a 5. What is it about the Va line that makes em think we don't need fog lights?

Is it completely arbitrary how they distribute the packages?
