Does anyone know where a person could get some touch-up
paint for the dash. I believe it's a Burgundy tone?
I have a slight scratch on the lower glove compartment door
and although it's barely 1/2" it's annoying to me.
Replacement cost of the door is $159.00 per my dealer. Body shop
air brushing is $75 to $80.
I could air brush it myself if I could get hold of some paint.

Overall LOVE my PRIUS, but the dash tends to attract dust like a magnet.

If the body shop can air brush it, then the paint should be available. Is it a Toyota body shop? If so, just go to the parts department at the dealer and ask them for the paint. If not, then they may be mixing it custom and you would be out of luck.

You may also want to try calling some car upholstery places, as they may be able to do it for a lot less.

I have also received a scratch on the dash. It is on the lower glove compartment. I am wondering what the color is (2005 Silver) and also if it is really expensive to do myself. Sand and then touch up the paint.
If anyone has any suggestions or help on this would be great!

This is only the first of many. The painted plastic dashboard is crap. It doesn't seem to be very tolerant of skin oils. You can expect the paint to start coming of the glove compartment buttons within the next year or so. Also, if you have a habbit of resting your arm on the window sill, then you can expect the paint to start coming off there too, particularly in the summer when the paint where you rest your elbow becomes soft and rubbery and starts peeling off.

I've gotten a lot of comments about my Swiffer...

"Is that a garter?" ... "What do you have a diaper in your back seat for!?"

    But it works!

Hey, I have an '08 and the dash color by the windshield is back, the glove compartment is gray. I scratched the upper dash horribly and investigated all kinds of solutions. By the way, these are not deep scratches, they just turn the plastic "white" where it was black.
For black, I found a black Sharpie to work perfectly. Then I went over it with ArmorAll. You can't find them.

Any chance of a burgundy colored Sharpie or other coloring pen?

Some angry jerk**f parking valet scratched my '05. His fingernail left a 1" white scar on the glass-adjacent area right in front of my face. I called a mobile dash repair guy who tried to heat the scar but only melted the surface and made it worse. He did not charge me...

A nice black velour DashMat eased the pain a little.
