Whining noise from driver's side

    Great call on the intermittant issue. As I think about what happened to get all the warnings to come on is that the engine wouldn't come back on so I was running on electric only.
    I took it into Toyota (Rudy Luther) and they said it was a dirty/carboned down throttle body (based on code P3191), cleaned it, cleared codes and the only estimate was for the "right front" wheel bearing going out. Phew! No transaxle job.

    Hi Greg,

    That's great to hear. Replacing the transaxle is one of the most labor-intensive repair activities (and therefore most costly) on Prius, so it is good that you determined this was not required.

    Did you get the wheel bearing replaced yet?
