    Hi everyone
I am so glad I called Elk Grove Toyota in Elk Grove California to inquire about the Toyota Platinum Extended Warranty for my 2008 Prius.
I paid $1690.00 ( Toyota Corp. quoted me $1850.00) Wow, that's even less than the Toyota msrp.
Anyone interested in the same deal, send me a message and I will refer you to a certain person over there.

2 months aga I bought my Prius at Roseville Toyota in Roseville Ca :ban:. and paid... get ready for this!!!!! $3,495.00 Yes folks that's right!!!!! since the finance manager ( a Chrisblican) told me it was the ongoing price since this is a very conplicated car and repairs can cost lots of money, since it was incorporated in my loan and I didn't know any better, I went for it but PRIUSCHAT.COM really opened my eyes on this subject.
Now, I can't wait to go back to CROOKVILLE TOYOTA cancel my Platinum and Service aggreement and really " let them have a piece of my mind"
Anyone reading this that bought from Roseville Toyota :ban: at that price should do the same as I am doing now.
    If I only knew..........

If you would have purchased it on this site through warrantyshak.com it would have only cost you $990.00

Roseville Toyota is not the most honest dealer. When I got quote for my TCH, they added window tint for $450. I told them I don't want it and they will not quote without the added dealer profit.

I have bought Toyotas from Elk Grove Toyota, Auburn Toyota, Toyota in Davis and Antioch, but never Roseville.
BTW, I never buy any extended warranties, it is a waste of money.

    Me again....
I tried for 3 weeks to get a quote from WarrantySshack.com but never got any answers from them.Warrantydirect.com has bad reviews etc...
My credit union offered me an extended warranty for $960.00 but the way the economy is right now and many insurance companies are folding I'd rather pay amore and get the genuine Toyota warranty for my peace of mind since I will be retired in about 3 years and really don't want heavy expenses down the road.

WarrantyShack is the GENUINE Toyota warranty by the way, its not Warranty Direct which is totally different. Check with Danny and you might still be able to get it here cheaper and cancel your dealer one.

Elk Grove Toyota didn't do you any favors, they still made a huge profit. I got my platinum warranty for $1350 at Fairfield Toyota (yes I know I could have got it here cheaper and told dh that but he wanted to "finance" it and get it from dealer, I just wanted teh car!). I live near Elk Grove Toyota and gave them repeated chances to earn my business as we like to support local business but they just didn't want to even be in the ball park so... we went to Fairfield.

My advice is try to return it and buy the same exact warranty from Danny for a lot less $.

Any dealership that tries to force options on a buyer should not be one from which you buy a car.

Also, please do your darn homework before you go buy a car. Know what the car actually cost, the warranty costs, etc. Then go in and negotiate to buy a car.

I do not care what the condition of the economy, you can always deal when you buy. I have bought some really nice cars and ever paid a mark-up and generally end up buying for less than MSRP.

I usually buy the extended factory warranty and still do not pay more than $100 over their cost.

I work hard for my money and will not just give it away to people who generally have a HS education, wear gold chains with their shirts unbuttoned to their waist and talk like they are making a rap video. (Yeah not all look like that- some wear $2,500 suits and act the same way.)

The honest car salesmen are few and far between- but they may exist.
