Headlight auto leveling

Hello,

I have a problem with my headlights. The story should be long, but i'll shorten it. I bought a used car and after a while found, that red triangle with headlight leveling problem on MFD appeared. What is interesting, headlights are halogen, but not HID. I assume it was HID some time before, because wires, which links to the bulb were cut and new ones added.
One solution would be to change existing lights into HIDs, but this would cost me a lot and I can't afford it..

If i would remove auto leveling sensor, would it solve the problem?
Is there any way to turn off this?

Now more additional info, which does this situation even more complicated. I looked at the repair manaul and see, that there is a motor, which automatically changes lights level and when I start the cat, lights are going up or down. But again, the error appears. Sometimes, i don't know reasons whe, error message dissapears and then pops-up again.

any thoughts welcome!
