I just toook delivery on 10/25. Love the car. Having a bit of an issue with the dealer. I want to put an EHB in since I live in Wisconsin and the winters are cold. The salesmen says its a good idea but the parts department will not sell me the unit. He tells me that installing the EHB will void my warrenty. Anyone have any issue like this?

I told the salesman to get there story strait and call me with the right story.

Contact ANOTHER dealer, or even Toyota USA regarding your warranty.

    Congrats and welcome!

And I would suggest taking your car to another dealer for service. If they ask why, just tell them that their work would void the warranty LOL.

Why would installing a Toyota part made for the car in an external slot made for the part void the warranty?

It won't. Sounds like another case of "salesman making up BS" to me. I know of many Prius owners in the WI area that have an EBH in their vehicles.

ENOUGH OF THIS BULLSHETTTTTTTT. i say....................................

    PRIUS salespeople must be:

    #1) certified ( let's set a min. of facts and figures )
#2) knowledgeable ( must have min. 100 hours on PRIUSCHAT )
#3) must own one as their personal transportation
#4) 30-50 hours in consultation with a PRIUS certified mechanic

I THINK..................with this requirement, or PRE-REQ, we will have good sales people, ready-willing and able.

    Waddayathink PEOPLE?????
