I would like to see the following suggested equipment made available as either a factory accessory, standard equipment in a what might be a new package # 7 or included in a special limited edition PRI. Obviously I have not thought of all possible things that could be added to the car. Any suggestions of usable other equipment would be appreciated.

    1) Sunroof:

    2) Electrically adjustable seats with a two position memory.:

    3) Heated seats:

    4) Leather option, e.g. leather covered seats, center console, and armrests:

    5) Activate the 12 volt outlet in the center console to be usable at all times:

    6) Make the navigation system usable as long as the passenger seat is occupied:

    7) Make it un-necessity to push ‘agree’ when you activate the navigation system:

    8) Get a new supplier of navigation DVDs to replace the currently inaccurate system:

    9) Door protective moldings:

    10) Mud guards mounted behind all four wheels:

    11) Front and rear bumper guards:

    12) Shock tower support:

    13) Auto lock the doors when the car is driven faster than 15 mph:

    14) Have the passenger side mirror rotate downward to see the curb when parking to avoid scraped wheels:

    15) A small curved mirror mounted on each outside mirror which provides a larger field of vision to eliminate blind spots:

    16) A beep signal or TV camera that displays on the center display to inform you when you are getting close to a vehicle while backing up:

    17) An indicator mounted to the front bumper to allow you to know where the car’s front end is to aid you when parking:

Instead of a sunroof, I would like a front windscreen which is extended back into the roof area to just before the driver’s head. This would give a much nicer scenery view than a sunroof. The sun visors would be a slide type and electrically operated with switches on the steering wheel for the driver and passenger side and one on passenger door for passenger side only.

With the current Prius design, when stopped at an intersection, I have to lower my head to see the traffic signal. I would love to be able to look up at buildings, trees, sky, etc. and not feel like I am peeking out of a box.

Well it seems that the what improvements would you like to see on the Prius thread is too long :p

    20) height adjustable seat which might solve SPE's minor complaint

    21) Euro Alloys (I'm sure 16" won't hurt the fuel economy that badly)

    22) some sort of side indicator be it fender mounted or mirror mounted

    23) rain sensing wipers

    24) auto dimming driver's side mirror or at least anti-glare coated wing mirrors

    25) EV Mode (official)

    26) and since there was a thread about the push button start and the Prius being the technologically advance Toyota, maybe AFS? (Adaptive Front Headlight System)

I have got two of those at least:
    22) Side indicators - factory fitted
    25) EV Mode - factory fitted and official!

Yes, I have to lower my head as well but the over all view makes it feel like I am on top of things.

Do they have seats that are at a get-in position until you start the car, then move to the drive position until you stop the car and then adjust back to the starting position? That'd be nice, heated or not.

And without a remote start to the seat heating, I doubt I'd see a lot of benefit...

    mikepaul,

those seats are coupled with memory seats. They move back a bit and the steering wheel tilts up and away when you turn the key to OFF. They all come back to position when you twist the ignition to ON. Also, if equipped, they may go into position (mirrors, radio station and climate control settings too) when you unlock your car with your own remote (as opposed to your wife's/parents'/sibling's remote)

How about a station wagon model???

I am not complaining about the current design. But I got awefully used to having all that space in my '98 Blazer. Since SUV's are a "man's station wagon". I sure could have more easily adjusted to a Prius station-wagon.

I think they could eliminate that crazy split rear window too (with the station wagon design.

I also would like a LOT more information provided on the MFD. I like the idea of a miles till empty indicator. But they would probably have to put a disclaimer on that too (like the NAV). I would like it to display lifetime totals, as well as engine RPM, and all the functionality that a fully featured MFD could provide.

How about a short subtle alarm that goes off when you exceed a specific user set speed?

How about allowing the user to adjust the NAV computer to more realistic highway and secondary road speeds? I had to dial them both into MAX just to get the computer to closer estimate my arrival.

Oh Yeah!!! I hate having to be completely stopped before I can dink around with the NAV system. I have the CoastalTec on order but I haven't heard anything from them in weeks.

How come we (in North America) get screwed by the lack of an EV switch? "The Man" has something to do with this doesn't he?

Let me say that upgraded tires are the way to go!

I am thrilled about the drop in road noise since I got the Goodyear Comfor treds installed twothousand miles ago.

And the ride is vastly better, hard to believe its so nice now compared to before. They actually work on smoothing out bumps.
