I am happy with my purchase from Toyota of Santa Cruz. They charge MSRP, but they still have a waiting list.

I had a very pleasant experience at Piercy Toyota in San Jose. It's on 1st street (cross street Brokaw). They sell at MSRP. Just don't buy the extended warranty from them unless they offer you a similar deal as what you can get through Priuschat.

Here was my experience over the past two weeks:

Stockton Toyota: sold me my '05 Salsa package #3 at $750 off MSRP. Salesman was Al - nice guy.

Sunnyvale Toyota: 1 month waiting list; $250-500 under MSRP depending on options.

Dublin Toyota: a few prii in inventory; list price to $500 off MSRP depending on who you talked to. Robert in Fleet sales made me the best offer.

Stevens Creek Toyota: waiting list; MSRP.

Fremont Toyota: one or two cars in stock. Sticker in window was $6000 over MSRP! Came down to MSRP when I started laughing... wouldn't take off any more though.

Capital Expressway Toyota: waiting list; MSRP.

Toyota101: several cars in stock. Wouldn't go anything off MSRP. Didn't seem at all interested in selling me a car?...

    Palo Alto: waiting list; MSRP.

Remember that Toyota is ramping up production for the US. Long waiting lists and MSRP+ pricing should soon be a thing of the past. With minimal effort, you should be able to save a few hundred (or more) today.

Out of curiousity... once you get there, please tell us what exactly is "list?"

I ask because very often there are two "lists."

One list is the sticker Toyota glues to the window at the factory, and the other is the list the dealer glues on after adding their own leather, wheels, paint sealant, Scotchguard, pinstripe, "market adjustment," etc., etc.

    Thanks!

oh... I bought my first Prius last July in Sacramento at Florin Road Toyota. Four month wait, no deposit required, wonderful experience. Paid Toyota's "sticker" including the $180 floor mats.

Did any of these dealers tell you if the deposit is refundable? And does anyone know if the waitlist time has increased

Paid $1300. for the warranty offered here for $995!!!! Thay tried too sell an after maket Antitheft devive that I thought was worthless. All the Bay Area Dealers were talking waiting lists. Fremont Toyota had 5 last week and said that they have no waiting list at all. In the past, they would get extra cars in and would install the leather seats and the 'gold' package and tack on $3- 5,000. Alpparently, they aren't doing that anymore unless you ask.

    Worth checking out,.

Last week I tried Tracy, Pleasanton, and Fremont and they were all out but expecting some more in the 1st week of May. I have one reserved for MSRP + FloorMats due sometime around May 2nd.

    TRACY TOYOTA_ EXCELLENT SERVICE
I've had my 04 oil changed at Tracy Toyota 6 times and their techs are the best I've ever seend in 20 years. I even bring my F150 in to their quick change station (right off the 205 by 2 blocks).
Service department is prompt, professional and goes the extra mile for me (they got me a rear alignment even though I was past the 12k "warranty").

Where did you get this done? The only place I can find in the Sacramento area that does this is TintPros in Roseville - and their store hours suck if you work 8-5. They are only open until 4:30pm M-F, and they don't do the clear bra installs on Saturdays. :cussing:

I got mine done by Jeremy Gomez of Invisiguard Mobile. He's based in Santa Rosa and came down to our home in San Jose to do the clear bra install. He probably will be willing to travel to Sacramento. His number is 707-328-5865. Email is [email protected].

Excellent - thanks for the info. Do you mind my asking what the approximate price from him was?

Question - does the Prius clear bra cover the entire hood, or just a portion as it seems to do on most other car models? You would think that the Prius template would cover the entire hood, as the entire hood is a rock magnet!

His kit for the Prius covers 3/4 of the hood (where the top of the headlight is), front bumper, side mirror backs, & door edge guards. He also has a light kit for headlight and foglights. The light kit is thicker than the material used for the painted surfaces. Cost for hood, bumper, etc. is $595.00. Light kit is $75.00. We had him do two of our cars at the same time so he gave a discount. Nice guy to work with. It takes about 2 hours per car to install the clear bra.

We purchased a package #6 for $500 under MSRP from Stockton Toyota plus they delivered it to us in Modesto which is about 45 miles door to door. Our salesman was Robert.
