I need some assistance, my Prius paper work indicates the radio is satellite ready - doe this mean I just need to subscribe to the service or that I need additional equipment to support satellite radio? Also how do I get to radio channel CH000 in order to obtain the radio ID?
My Prius is 30 days old!

I believe you need additional equipment from Toyota (or other brands).

    Hey,

You need to have the satellite receiver and the antenna installed before you can get reception. The radio in your car is " satellite ready" to accept the connections from each item and will display the channels. I just had this done at my dealer for my '09 and it cost me around $450.00. I am sure you will get some advice on how to get it bought/done cheaper, and I have seen instructions in this forum on self installation if that is your desire. I just wanted to get up and running with little or no hassle and it only took a half hour at my dealer. After the installation is complete, you will see how to easily get to channel 000. Just make the call to XM/Sirius for download and you will be ready to go!

"Satellite ready" means the head unit is capable of controlling a satellite receiver and displaying info from the receiver. That's it. It doesn't include the receiver necessarily.
