Has the decrease in gas prices changed the way you drive your Prius?

I see your point. I believe you are right in your prediction that gas prices will increase too. Thanks for your response.

Most of my miles are on I-5 and I can tell you it get's crazy on that mofo sometimes! I think it is uphill both ways! I do catch myself driving faster then 70mph sometimes. It usually happens when I see MT Shasta while I am driving. Seems like that beautiful mountain has a magnet in it that makes me speed up. I can tell you it happens everytime. My wife thinks it is because I am just happy to know that I am almost home! I think the Prius has some bond with that mountain, jk! I don't know if people are driving faster now that gas is lower. It seems the same to me.

Not the price of gas but the difference between diesel and gasoline. We drive 700 miles every 3 weeks to ski. The past 2 trips we have driven the Prius instead of the Jetta due to the difference in fuel prices.

After calculating the savings ($12 at current prices) we will be taking the VW next time.

That is some serious dedication to skiing! I appreciate that type of attitude. Go big or go home!

It is not just the skiing. My wife and I part of the volunteer Ski Patrol at a resort in North Carolina. We enjoy giving a little back and providing emergency medical care on the mountain. It is a long drive but still the closest resort.

Now that gas prices have dropped, I'm working harder to achieve a $10 fill-up. That would be sweet.

I bought the thing just a month ago when gas was already down to $1.89. It is all about the numbers game for me.
