    How about the backup camera system. I'm not big on Coastal Dave's license frame version, but would buy the stock Japanese one.

    Its not that easy to ship out spoilers from Japan. Its cost factor....
    Im still working on for someone outs right now. Because first shipper now refuesed.
    For extended rear hatch spoiler or Type B
    I forgot that cost but I would think able to ship by UPS or other shipping method from Japan.
    Im tell ya shipping large stuff isnt easy :roll: unless you own shipping company or have good connection

    There are many back-up camera options

    There are many back-up camera options apart from Coastal Dave's (which I suspect it's made by CrimeStopper) and the JDM one, yet fully compatible w/ Coastal Dave's & PAC-Audio's systems.

    We carry quite a few including one that resembles Coastal Dave's, but in black (instead of chrome), and costs $100 less. I plan to do a GB on our back-up cameras but no one] PriusChat will pay full MSRP. So wait for my GB in the Commercial/Sponsor forums please. But I will include the JDM one too if it is compatible.

    Check them out: Sigma Auto Back-Up Cameras

    Hi Speedracer, I agree with you 100%. We used to import a lot of JDM parts for WRX, EVO, Fairlady, etc. but just had to quit after a while. We dealt w/ EMS, DHL, Danza, Yusen, UPS, FedEx, etc. S&H is indeed the killing part. Unless we are big enough to import JDM parts by containers, it’s never cheap. Air freight, which is expensive by nature, is most sensitive to weight. Ocean freight, which is less expensive, is most sensitive to size. Spoilers are light yet oversized, so there is just no way out.

    And what about damage on arrival, delayed shipment, hidden Customs charges, etc?

    But let’s see how the response is first, then we will go from there.

    I asked Koji at Japanparts.com about the larger spoiler and OEM camera and this was the reply:

    <For Prius>
    *TOYOTA "Touring' package"Larger Spoiler; 49,500JPY
    *08634-00120 TOYOTA Rear View Camera; 26,400JPY
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Sub Total: 75,900JPY
    Shipping to U.S.A Via EMS: 8,200JPY
    It will take us about 10-15 days for preparation and delivering the item
    after we receive your payment.
    (Estimated days are until it arrives to U.S.A
    and domestic delivery would take some more days)
    If you would pay the amount by credit card, we would also charge
    Mail Order Card Sale (5%) for Credit Card Company: 4,430JPY
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Total: 88,530JPY

    I am going to try and get him to give me a quote on the Touring Package Leather Wheel as I think the wheelskins one just doesn't look right.

    When my Prius feels like showing up, I am going to go after the LED mirrors, larger spoiler and the Aerostyle kit! (Just to start with...)

    Hopefully we can get a few GB together on these and other bits as I know a lot of us are wanting cool stuff for our Prii.

    I believe the Toyota (Eclipse) OEM color camera can plug directly into Coastal Dave's system. I will definitely include it too.

    The Extended Spoiler B-Type can ship by EMS due to its normal size, but what about if I want the Aero Style Package as well? Can you ask Koji how much is the freight for the whole Aero Style Package + the Extended Spoiler B-Type (all 5 pieces)? Also, my asking price on the Extended Spoiler B-Type should be less than 49500 yen.

    Here is my Prius future in order:
    1) Get a Prius
    2) Install the EV mod
    3) Get the Aero Style Package
    4) Anything else that comes my way :)

    Danny, if you are going to get the Aero Style Package, definitely get the extended spoiler as well. They look good together. Also, there is this new Modellista Aero Kit which looks even more aggressive, and those 17" Modellista rims:

    I have to agree about the larger spoiler and the aerostyle package. But those Modellista rims? Uh... no. If I was to go for rims like that, I might as well get an Escalade to go with them!

    Besides, 17s start to have a detrimental effect on your MPG. Me, I am going to go with the OEM 16s or aftermarket lightweight 16s.

    Yeah, but it's also about the MPG, too. Me, I'll stick with my JDM 16s - that way I can get "the looks and the lifestyle", too!

    If I was to go truly futuristic, I'd ask Huggy Bear to get me next year's model, even though it's not out yet! :lol:

    17" rim will reduce some MPG but not whole alot. Also depend on the tire choice.
    For tailgate spoiler, If they can send by EMS I can do as well

    If a group buy can be arranged for any of the parts listed in all the posts above, count me in. I'm in Hawaii so I think the ship stops here first before moving on to the continental US. The parts I'm drooling over are the aero kit, the rear spoiler, and the flashing mirrors... oh and the OEM camera.

    This is exciting! :) I love my prius.

    Alright, that's it!!!! How many of you out there think we should get a petition going to Toyota North America to start offering these things here? Do they not think we are gadget mad over here with our Prii? Do the not think we would be interested in these things? Don't they realize they could make money off of us getting them 'officially'?!? :cussing:

    Blue, the leather wheel won't be happening. I already tried to get my hands on it and it's not available, according to my conversations with japanparts.com. If I can come up with an alternative, you'll be the first to know. There are others here who want a OEM leather wheel instead of the wheelskins add-on, which looks just like that - an add-on. There is always the possibility of getting a custom made one.

    If you look through the post from the beginning, you'll get an idea of the large spoiler costs, etc. as well as people bantering about a GB.

    I may be interested in an extended spoiler, but it really depends on the cost...$500 is way, WAY too much for such a simple item, even if it does come prefinished.

    I have an '05 package 6 car in California. I went to the link posted here to see the touring spoiler on the blue car. It looks exactly like the one that comes on my car. Am I wrong? If it is bigger, how much bigger or longer is it?

    I was really interested in the steering wheel darn it. The wheelskins option is to funky IMO.

    Thanks -
