We finally did it! We found a pretty good deal on Certified Pre-Owned 2008 Package 4 in Magnetic Grey and decided to go for it! More importantly, now that she has hers, I get mine back ;) Here's a quick pic, haven't even had a chance to take the wheel rings off yet.

Good on ya getting into the 2 Prius family club. Might see you there when I join. Well maybe I'll join.

I hope by the time I'm ready to join that club, there'll be a plugin version... If there's an EV on the market that suits my needs, I might not make the club though. But FWIW, I'd probably get a magnetic gray if I bought another Prius right now.

Yeah, looks like I botched the pic. I'll fix when I get home. We debated it for quite a while, but we've just come to have such an appreciation for what a great car this is we couldn't imagine buying something else. I really thought we might go for a Camry Hybrid, but it really underwhelmed us. Its a great car, but compared to the Prius the extra power, width and "normal carness" seemed a poor substitute for the Priuses utility and fuel economy. We just recently did a 4 day trip to CA, with our 3 year old and 7 month old both in their gigantic Britax carseats. It think the way the Prius swallowed all their gear and ours really helped convince us that the Prius is all the car we need :)

Now that I have my '05 back, hopefully I can get working on the plugin conversion. I really want an EV for commuting, but at least this will be a step in the right direction (and can still haul carseats around).
