    egads! bland color palette!

No light blue? I like that much better than the dark blue. No decent green yet? Forest, sage...something? (My wife liked the current "sorta green", I didn't care for it, but at least it had some hint of green.) And not to offend the Barcelona Red owners, but I like a red that isn't quite so...RED. Something in a more pearl or darker shade of red would appeal to me. No, I'm not saying a substitution, but another option.

None of these colors do it for me, Toyota. I hope nothing catastrophic happens to our Prius next year because I don't like the color choices of a new replacement. If I was in the market for a 2010 I would wait for 2011 hoping for better paint options.

The new Prius Blue appears like Blue Streak Metallic found on 09 Matrix which is identical to 09 Corolla blue.

Spectra Blue Mica is very special though - it comes across as a straight up dark blue in low light, but sunlight brings out the magic brighter color in the metallic.

At night, Spectra Blue looks no less than stunning under a streetlight.

Others colors I really like, not to be found on a Prius would be Sundance Metallic on an 09 Matrix which is close to the Nissan 350Z 'Gold' metallic. Also, the sunburst, copper type color on the Honda Element I like a lot.

Seaside Pearl looked pretty good to me when very clean. So many of them are dirty on the road, then the color is iffy.

Just noticed that color yesterday ... like a Candy Apple Red, very nice it was.

Nope. Blue Streak is like Speedway Blue (and in fact, I believe it replaced Speedway Blue).

Blue Ribbon, as I've said before, it's closer to Indigo Ink (but it's a stronger blue). Just look at the 07+ Camry. It has Blue Ribbon.

Thank you , I did not know that. However, the Gen II Prius has only had this colour just over a year so it might still make the rarity stakes (he says hopefully ). I have seen a deeper blue colour on Toyota Yaris here which is also not too shabby and the photoshop blue resembles it pretty strongly, wonder if it is the same ?

+1 Amen. It is absolutely magic under clear (white, not amber) street lights. Takes one to know one hey ?

Yes, it is rare outside of Japan (they've had it since 2004). I don't know what blue you have. Over here, we have two blues available - Bayou Blue (sort of a pale blue) and Blazing Blue (bright blue)

I sure hope so, that Sandy Beach is horrendous! Kind of a drab yellow brown. Would make you wish for 360 days of winter road salt spray just to hide the paint.

And I agree with Godiva. The new interior is such a step backward in ergonomics and functionality.

I have been calling it baby puke at work but yeah, it is pretty disusting looking.

As for the interior, I like it. If it were more of what we have had for the past 6 years there would be negative comments as well. I welcome the change, especially until I get to see and sit in it in person.

Okay, the Sandy Beach, in person, under indoor lights, was really pretty.
It's very similar to the Seaside Pearl, but seems to have more depth to it -- it's a little less silvery, and has definite sparkle. Doesn't look nearly as dusty to me. I really like it, up close!

Hi. When I go to the Toyota web site and click on the 2010 Prius preview, I am seeing a lighter blue on the web than blue ribbon pearl. I have emailed Toyota and gotten no response.
Doesn't it look like that blue (especially on the 360 degree view) is a lot lighter than blue ribbon pearl to anyone else or is it just my computer?

That blue doesn't exist. It's just a generic paint. Blue Ribbon is a deep blue. Check out the Camry, it uses the same blue.

I took pictures of the Sandy Beach Highlander they have at the Houston Auto Show. Its not bad in person. Light yellow gold. Blizzard is a nice addition. Looks great on the Venza. I probably would have preferred a green or light blue, like my now gone seaside.

In real life, how does the Blizzard Pearl compare to Super White?

Is it whiter, off-whiter (and if so, is it a beige or a gray off-white), darker ...

Off-white. It looks white, but toned down, with hints or flecks of something else in it, rather than the normal bright super white. It has the pearl finish, so changes in different light. Some pictures of it make it look gray, but I've never had that impression in person. Has an elegant look. Should be easy to find in person, since multiple models have it now, including the new Venza.
