I bought this car salvage it had light front end damage but to be safe I replaced the inverter( hybrid system) by taking another inverter from a 08 prius. The car had no key so I had the key programmed by someone that used a factory toyota device but now everythng in the dash lights up when I press power and the car doesn't get into ready mode. The person that programmed the key didn't know anything about the problem but he mentioned to me that there is something with the hybrid control system or ECM.

I don't know what to do If i take it to the dealer they don't know what they are doing themselves and will just till me to change parts and parts. Please advice.

    Hi Prius...,

Just in case you don't know, you need to hold the brake pedal firmly down when you hit the power button, to get into Ready....
