I was wondering if anybody had any good unusual ideas for a prius interior or exterior mod. I've had my car for a couple months now and i wanted to see if i could make it a little more interesting. i was first looking into buying a flux capacitor replica and putting it into the car but it ended up being like $220 so i couldn't. I'm trying to look for a mod that isn't a usual car mod but also doesn't look majorly ridiculous (i'm ok with a little).

Can you graft the rudder of a Cessna onto the tail gate?

How about machine gun barrels through the bonnet?

    Stick on bullet holes.

a giant wind up type key sticking out the roof.

Glow in the dark seat covers

Remove the entire roof and windscreen and install little aero screens in front of the driver and front passenger. Then a canvas cover to enclose the cabin at shoulder height and just zip back the drivers side if you have no passengers.

Stick huge colour pictures printed on vinyl, of coal fired power stations all over the sides, and a slogan along the bottom of the doors, PLUG-IN SUCKS. No one did that on a Prius before.

I hope these suggestions fire your imagination.

    Who you calling insane?
The aircraft tail maybe not but the others are perfectly sane. I once knew a guy with a mini with a giant key in the roof.

there's an austin mini that runs in the vintage races around here that's got a key. doesn't do anything for aerodynamics (but it's not going that fast anyway) but it sure is a crowd favorite.

back on to topic- you want an original mod, but you dont want to think of it yourself? seems counter intuitive.

with that said, i say mod in an airbag suspension. 3 wheel prius.

now i finally get what you were saying about the keys, but no
second of all i just want to try something that is a little more daring than most people are used to, not something nobody has ever thought of

i know its not much but i took off all my badges on my black prius and spray painted them black and then re-glued them back on excluding the toyota one in the back left on the trunk spelt out. i also put neon led lights on the interior of my car. just a thought

Well you could start by replacing the OEM wheels with aftermarket rims, and match it with lowering springs too. Uhmmm... Carbon fiber hood? Sounds good to me.

lol definately carbon fiber hood would be tight depending on the color of your prius. and i like thomatt's idea of putting aftermarket rims on, i put black and red msr's on my black prius and as to the spring suggestion i completely agree. instead of buying new springs i simply modified my stock ones to lower my car :]

I bought some new LED's for the interior lights. On the doors I put blue ones, that is a simple little mod that looks cool.
