When I bought Summer wheels and tires for "Matilda" a couple years ago, I decided to mount Winter tires on my stock wheels. Several months ago, I ended up giving my Winter wheels/tires to a friend who desperately needed a new set of tires for his Prius (I'm such a good friend :D).

A few days ago, I saw a great deal from Tirerack.com on 15" wheels with snow tires for less than $650.00. They look pretty awesome!

Geez, if I can have different "Shoes" for "Matilda" every season, I would. I may have to ask for some of that bail out money from President Obama. LOL

Below are pics of Matilda's Winter & Summer shoes.

Those summer shoes are very pretty.

Any idea how much the winter wheels weigh?

The rims alone weigh 17 lbs according to Tirerack.com. do not know about the tires though. I was going to weigh them, but forgot and had them already on the car. :(

But the Summer ones I did weigh and they are a whopping 45 lbs each! (Wheel and tires).

Not knowing that much about your summer wheels, I have a question. Are there more lug nut holes available than are actually used? Or is that just part of the style?

It's just part of the style. There are only 5 dedicated lugnut holes and you can never get them on the wrong way.

It isn't part of the style, these wheels have 2 pitch circle diameters so they can be used on different cars.

    Nice looking wheels!
