    Hi All,
Finished the installation of 1- Bazooka A-100 Amplified woofer in my 05 with JBL audio system w/ separate amp. This is the stock radio that comes with the #6 package. It has the AMP under the front passenger seat.

Awesome sound :D :D I installed the Bazooka on the back of the rear seat attaching it to the area between the hold down brackets. There was just enough room to screw in the brackets using the metal that the hold down brackets are attached to. I wanted it off the floor because I have a full size cargo mat that I use when I go scuba diving. I ran the wires, except the ground and power which I will speak of latter behind the cloth covering the rear seat and down under were the rear seat folds to the curb side step moulding into the side collum and then over to the AMP under the passenger seat.

I had been waiting on a wiring harness that never showed up, so I took out my trusty Prius wiring diagram book (thank you E-Bay) and figured out how to hook in it. I fist tried using the small connector on the AMP which is the one from the radio. That didn't work. It cut the volume of the radio in half. I then went back to the drawing board and attached the speaker wires to the large plug at that AMP, presto. The wiring is as follows: Unplug the connector and remove large tape covering wires there you will see B-#4, Y-#13, R-#5, and W-#14 on the connector. They are all together next to a gray shielded cable. Hook up the Black wire to the green wire from the bazooka, next hook up Yellow to Green with Black wire, then hook up Red to Gray and, White to Gray with Black. I hooked up the Orange wire (remote turn on) to the grey wire on the small connector on the AMP pin #12. I left the power and ground in the rear. I hooked the power directly on the small battery with the 7.5 fuse and i hooked the ground cable to a bolt in the floor next to the battery.

Nice add on for under $200 bucks. I am waiting on remote cable so I can adjust bass from drivers area :D

I can't wait, I just ordered the BAZOOKA BTA8200 8 inch sub. It should sound pretty good. I'm very familiar with hooking up car audio equipment, but I'm going to have Circuit City do this one :). I'm sure your setup sounds good. I might have to consider mounting mine like yours.

Your installation sounds like mine. I didn't have any wiring diagrams, so I decided to patch into the rear speakers. I had to take the rear door panels off to see what color the wires were so I could tap into them under the seat. I hooked up PWR/GND to the exact same locations. I hooked up my remote-on to the 12V plug in the passenger dash area. I didn't want to tear the dash apart. Routed wires just like you. I couldn't believe how easy that was.

I don't have a Bazooka - I went with a Kenwood WOOX instead. It fits into the under-hatch area so it's completely out of view. I routed it's wired remote along the same path as the sub inputs, except when I got under the passenger seat I continued on under the center console. My remote is in the little drawer at the front of the console.

One thing you neglected to mention - adding a sub completely changes the sound. The JBL went from an underpowered, tinny sounding system (that actually gave me a headache) to a full-range dynamo that's as good as any car stereo I've ever had. If you like music and want to listen to it in your Prius, this mod is a must.

BTW - I also disconnected the center speaker. Have others done this as well?

Anyone know where to get a connector to fit between the amplifier underneath the passenger seat and can go to the subwoofer and the rear speakers? I'd like to hook this subwoofer up to the existing harness, but I prefer not to cut into the current wiring.

There was this thread mentioned on an other thread on this board. It looks like the Bazooka folks should have one in about a month.

It did change the sound of the stereo dramatically. I got the idea when we bought the 05 Sienna. It had the same stereo but they added a woofer in the left rear. I couldn't have a stereo that sounded less then the wifes :D
I kind of whish I had put a unit under the floor. I am going to pick up some sound proofing and line that area. It was a simple installation after I figured the wiring. I thought about just running it from the speaker wire in the back but The way I did it everything is close at hand. I have the remote being shipped to me. Thought I might put in in the arm rest compartment. I will see when it arrives to see how big it is.
