I am thinking of getting the BT Tech Skid Plate an wonder if any one had any problem with any Toyota dealer because of it when doing regular maintenance. Do dealers have to remove the skid plate for regular maintenance? If so, did they accept to do it? did they charged extra? Did they say skid plates alter warranty or prepaid maintenance package? Thanks!

It shouldnt alter anything. There is already a stock plate there, the BT is just thicker which provides more lateral stability. If they say they refuse to work on it go to a different dealer.

I designed our skid plate so that normal dealer maintaince such as oil changes and such can be done without having to remove our plate.

Even the angle in which the oil drains from the crankcase was taken into consideration in the design of the skid plate.

If you have any questions please let me know.
