The Survey Monkey limits the "free" version to 100 responses. Due to your generosity, in less than 4 days, I have received 100 responses (as of 3-26-09) and the survey is now closed.
Thank you for participating! For those interested I will post results here in the near future.

Please take my quick Toyota Prius Owners survey:
The purpose of this survey is to gather information from the real world experience of Toyota Prius drivers for a research paper I am writing about the economic and environmental advantages of driving a Toyota Prius. Please complete this survey by April 3, 2009.
    Thank you!
    Rob Ferber, student, Neumann College.

How quick of a Prius do you need to participate in this survey?

I've been to 100 mph, pretty much the maximum speed, so I guess I qualify. <GRINS>

His survey is a little lame about the Prius generations. He might check out "Wiki Prius" and gain a clue.

When I finished, I pressed the [Done] button and nothing happened.

not for nothing, but for a professional survey, you might want to check your spelling. (ie, milage = mileage) But I was able to successfully submit it no problem. Easy enough survey, good questions.

You guys are tough! It is far from a professional survey. Thanks for your spelling suggestions and I appologize for my typos. Especailly the model year error. I really appreciate your participation.

The important part was the questions. Quick enough to take, but I am curious as to what you're trying to get. Kudos for the design... My criticism was hopefully more constructive! :)

Survey Done . . . Only 700 miles on my car, so may not be a lot of useful data from mine.

I filled it out... even though I've had my Prius for just over 48 hours.

Already hit 45mpg on the consumption display, so I'm pretty confident I'll meet or exceed the EPA combined rating of 46.

Oh, and you should have added a reason for buying as 'using less gas to support energy independence for the US'

I'd say the fuel economy, practicality (my previous car was a 2 seat roadster) and using less fuel to send as little $$ as possible to nations that hate us were the top three on my list.

It was helpful and I appreciate it. I was rushing and should have taken more time. I'm thrilled that I now have 89 responses of a maximum of 100 with the free version of survey monkey. I think I may max out which I never expected and would not have happened without Prius Chat.

My thesis question is "What are the Economic and Environmental Advantages of owning and driving a Toyota Prius?"
I so often hear pundits and see opinions that "Hybrids can't possibly be worth the premium and can never provide an adequate return on the investment." I know that is false. I have saved at least 2000 gallons of fuel over 5 years as I hit 100,000 miles(probably tomorrow on my way to work.) Surprisingly, most of the articles I can find are negative. So I want to write about the positive aspects from the owner's point of view. I know what I think and wanted other owner's experiences.

    Thanks Again,
    Rob
