In other GM news, the new presidents of GM are Click & Clack.

And BMW announced their energy-saving (for you) Magnetic Tow Technology which lets you magnetically hook onto the car in front of you so you can shut your engine off.

This is one shocking news that fails to electrify my imagination and charges up of my potential (in)difference with GM's complete lack of electro-motive drive towards the new automobile age of electro-magneto power.

Even the name gave it away, Danny. Nice try, though.......

What's funny is today a friend of mine was reading character descriptions for Transformers 2 and found this character:

Jolt, originally a Decepticon, but in this he's a good guy. He'll be switching into a Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid.

He had a good line: "In the movie, they'll probably just keep talking about his character, but he'll never actually show up."

I was completely fooled, even forwarded the article to friend that works at NUMMI to see if he knew anything about it yet.... ;-)

My son just told me all but one of the cars in Transformers 2 is a GM product. The one non GM car is a police type character who is a bad guy.
I just thought they could have had a Chrysler that never properly transformed. Half way through transformation he would jam up and say, "back to the shop for me!"
We deduced that GM pay for product placement.

That probably isn't too far from the truth. Although their minivans have much improved, folks I know with Chrysler 300 cars, and the Dodge Ram trucks, have terrible reliability

I was looking for last year's article, where there would be a new Prius model with a hemi engine or something, for people who wanted to look green and drive a Prius, but still have all the power they wanted.
