It looks like alot of us have the pleasure of owning two prii. We bought our first one, which was a replacement for my wife's old altima. After a year of her getting to drive it to and from work, and the mutual agreement that we needed a second vehicle that could accomodate children, hopefully soon, we traded in my regular cab pickup for my prius.
I wonder how many other cars out there are so awesome that they warrant both household drivers owning the same model. Almost everyone I have ever known owns two different model cars.

    I've got a classic 2002 Prius which I drove for 2 years before I got my 2004.

In Nov of 2001, my 2002 Prius replaced my 1999 Ford Contour SVT - fast but a premium guzzler.

In Oct of 2003, my 2004 bumped my wife's 1999 Hyundai Elantra GT Hatchback (also not spectacular w/ mileage). She got the 2002 (happily) and I got the 2004.

Happy with both cars - each has it's merits. My next car will certainly be a hybrid of this type or whatever else is even better. Hope to keep these for a bit though.

Well, I started with Prius in October of 2002 with a 2003 Classic all options except Nav. My wife and a friend of my wife ordered 2004s in October of 2003 and took delivery in July of 2004 and I put in my order for a 2005 when she picked up hers. I received my 2005 in Feb of this year. SO for a week I was a 3 Prius family until my mother decided to buy my 2003. Now I'm just a 2 Prius family. :D

We are trying to be. My SO is diligently trying to work out the financials of getting a Silver AM package to replace her '99 Tracker. We are hoping to be a 2 Prii family by years end. I'm excited that she has started the search. She drives mine during the summer anyway, while I'm tooling around on my motorcycle. The little 4WD SUV has lost it's appeal (around 24 MPG) and I've consistently shown I can haul more in the Prius!

    We have two now!

Got rid of a Ford F-150 and a Ford Explorer. Reduce our annual consumption from around 3,300 gallons to around 900 gallons. Still pretty pathetic if you ask me but a big step in the right direction.

As of last week, we're a two Prius family. My wife bought a Driftwood Pearl package six with a tan interior in mid-March. I loved it so much that I bought a black package six with a grey leather interior last week.

We still have two SUVs sitting in the driveway (a '95 Jeep Cherokee Sport and a '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited), but those will get sold soon enough!

Of course, being a two Prius family opened up the debate about what the plural of Prius is. Priuses? Priuii? Flock? Pack?

I dont change it for the plural. Two Prius sounds just fine to me.

my live-in SO and i bought one within weeks of each other after i determined that my 12mpg pontiac grand prix GTP just wasn't cutting it for a stop and go commute on surface streets. she had a tundra that she used in her dog walking business, doing tons of local driving in the hills around LA. luckily she's been transitioning the business toward primarily smaller dogs for about a year now, so she puts the back seats down and has carpet runners in the back which works out really great for her AND the dogs since they now have a/c all summer long.

thus far it's been ideal and her gas savings are even better than mine given her daily driving. it was kind of funny when i got a chance to see how roomy the back of the car was and said to her, "you need to really think about whether or not you could operate your business with one of these cars. your gas costs would be slashed as long as you can make sure you're not crowding the dogs into the back." once we figured out it would be no problem, she decided to buy one at the same time as me.

so now we both have package 6 '05s, mine in tideland pearl and hers in silver.

I had to travel 500 miles to pick up my 2004 last July, but I didn't cancel my order with my local dealer because my wife already wanted one too. In December she got her 2005 Prius. True togetherness.

We are well on our way to being a two Prius family. I bought our 2005 for my wife and now I am very Jealous of her. I think I have got her convinced that we should buy one more. Now she is tired of me finding all kinds of reasons to borrow her car.

We've got a 2004 Super White (hers) and a 2005 Driftwood Pearl (mine). We kept the two guzzlers: a 2000 GMC Sierra Extended Cab and my Jeep Grand Cherokee, but they each barely get driven twice a month. Wife used to drive the Sierra, her gas bills went from $350 to about $100 a month.
