While listening music in Aux mode(about 45 minutes) this morning, my audio system shut itself down w/o me touching anything. I’ve pushed the audio power button, AM/FM, CD, and steering control but that did not work. I’ve power off the car and started it again and still no audio…. After about 10 minutes later, the audio came back again but all my preset AM/FM stations were gone. Should I be worried?

Sounds like power to the system was lost temporarily. Could be a loose connector or something. If it happens again, might be good to have a Toyota service person take a look.

Well, I timed it this time... It played for 45 minutes and got cut off. I did not turn off the car this time either... Exception of music, steering control worked fine... I waited for about 10 minutes and tried the audio buttons again... it worked again...
There must be a time out function of some sort on Aux port...
Can someone try it out also? Play thru Aux port for about 50 minutes and see if it locks out?
    thanks in advance...

I have used the AUX port for hours at a time, so I don't think that is your problem.

I did have a somewhat similar problem this past winter, though. The audio would not come on when the car was cold. All of the other functions worked (the MFD display, radio station info, etc.), but no sound until the car had been running for between 5 and 45 minutes. I also lost station presets once. The dealer replaced the radio, but that didn't cure the problem. It turns out there was a connection that was so "iffy" it wouldn't work when it was cold enough for the metal to contract. Replacing the amplifier did the trick.

All this to say you may simply have a connector issue.

Because it turns off after long use, though, I wonder if the amp just isn't getting enough airflow to keep cool.

    Found the problem... :(
after removing everthing from the center console, I wiggled some cables to connect/disconnect the audio. I guess some of the cables are either loose or somewhat broken... :(

Only the AUX input is in the console. You should be able to switch to radio or CD even if the AUX cable is messed up. Since your car is new, unless the problem is with the cable between your music source and the jack in the console, go get the dealer to fix the problem under warranty.
